A Fantastic Video Of Japanese Women Pros With Pro Tracers

Recommended Posts

This is a wonderful video to watch. I do not speak or read Japanese, but I gather they are opening tee shots at a Japanese women's tourney. These women have beautiful swings, and the pro tracers make many of the shots very fun to watch. You can see shots of all shapes and trajectories, so pick your favorite swings and learn something from them. My favorite of all is at 5:47. The swing here pictured is the best power fade shot at 2:10 into the video.

Sadly, the uploader of this video will not allow it to be watched through an embbed link, so to watch it you must do this:

1. Open a new window in your browser and go to YouTube.

2. Copy and paste this into the YouTube search bar:

女子プロ Driver Shot 弾道

3. Click the first video on the top of the search results. It is 8:37 long.

4. Enjoy watching the tee shots and comment back on this thread.

Didn't work for me, either, when I tried to watch the video on this thread. I tried clicking the YouTube link on the screen and my pop-up blocker blocked it, so I have another idea. Open a separate window and get on YouTube with it. From the search bar enter this (copy and paste):

女子プロ Driver Shot 弾道

You will see on the top of the search results a video of 8:37 in duration. Click that one and watch it. Hopefully that will work. Sucks that's you can't watch it on this page.

OK, guys, so now you are watching. Which swings are your favorites, and if you could only pick one, which one would you vote for as the best swing? Mine is at 5:47.

Good stuff. Haven't decided on a favorite yet but thanks for posting.

Watching the video again, I realize that the big girl who hit the true power fade at 2:10 also hit a tight draw at the very end of the video (last tee shot).

I think more often than not these girls were playing the hook. Fades were refreshing to see, and I think there are only four frozen ropes.

That is an obsolutely fabulous video. I got to the point of trying to guess the shot shape from the look of the swing. Very educational to see so many swings back to back with the pro tracer.

Thanks, that was great

Thanks for posting. Loved watching those swings. Must have been a dogleg left as they all wanted to play a draw.

I wonder what their swing speed was on those shots.

I highly doubt it because you did not hear much applause for those hook shots that went behind the side of the hill to the left. I think the hole is straight.

What's quite amazing is that most of those girls are hooking the ball. I suppose that is what most of them worked for, that they were raised to believe that the slice is definitely undesired. For me, the few tiny power fades are more impressive than the countless draws these women have.

I really wish we could see more ProTracer in PGA Tour tournaments. I wouldn't mind seeing it on all tee shots to be honest!

Wow. Very cool! I was at the range today and watched a young Asian woman hit some balls in the stall next to me. She was tiny, but there was so much power in her smooth as butter swing. I'm not a big dude (probably the same size as some of those women in the video). This video has me excited to get back to the range!

Strange to see that much movement in the flight....must've been some nasty misses there as it seems 97% of the time the Ladies I see play on the LPGA hit nothing but straight balls. Maybe a handful actually try to work the ball, but almost all are just high and straight.

I haves tough times thinking of one good amateur female I haves played against who faded it. What I liked most was so many different swings. I hates the hang ups of needings to be in this spot or drawing lines on a screen , blah blah. Chasing positions can destroy a swing. Almost ruined my golf. Those announcers were kinds of entertaining . The sounds ands it seemed audience hads respect .

The tournament was in May of last year in Fukuoka. The "Hoken no Madoguchi Ladies"

The winner was Onnarin Sattayabanphot, a Thai playing on the JLPGA Tour. She goes by "Sataya" for short...
She played at Purdue University for four years.
She led the JLPGA Qualifying tournament in 2011.
She finished 18th on the money list in 2013.

She's the last one teeing off on the video and the announcers were commenting on her power.

bought out by private equity.

capitalization, grammar and reasoning slashed as a cost reduction.

Those are the high draws. Beautiful shots. The first one you pictured, the crowd held its applause because they first thought it was pushing into the woods. I liked them, but all the hooks from the other girls took away the flair. That's why I like the frozen ropes (especially 5:47) and the power fades.

Is there anything bad about this drive other than it's too perfect?
