Should I play?

This is probably a silly question to ask here but... i leave work at 3:15 today. Due to the fact that no one around here has a clue how to drive when it rains I probably won't get home until 3:45-4:00 and sunset isn't until 5:39. It's lightly sprinkling and it doesn't appear to be that windy. Knowing that your wife won't be home until 6:00 and all she asked you to do was throw a load in the washer... would you grab your clubs/rain gear and head out to the try and squeeze 9 holes in?

Where are you thinking about going? Depends on the course drainage imo. San Jose is getting a little dark and a little windy at the moment.

it's at franklin canyon in hercules, upper east bay. well if i can get home fast enough i think i'm going. twilight with cart is probably going to be $15 i think. I'm hoping the course is empty due to the weather so i'll be able to play fast

Don't mean to sound like a a$$ but, I think that's a dumb question. Mainly because it will probably be June before the damn snow melts around here.

Here's a question I have: What would you be doing as an alternative? If you're going to watch Ellen on the couch then I vote for golf in the pouring rain. Actually, I'd vote for golf in any weather condition at the moment. You are blessed to have this choice.

Just for asking that question I vote you go home do the laundry, the dishes, cook dinner and mow the lawn . Go no where near a golf course.

" Should I go golfing??????" dude way to rub it in.

Remember PD, I trademarked "WWSD." Even though the he's not golfing like we aren't, he's playing with his new locker. Which begs the question...WWSPITL (What would Sean Put in the Locker). We need pics Sean!

Wasn't that a rude question? I think he should come and plow our snow for or a week or so. I'll be he'd be running out to play in a light rain!

Actually, I thought it was going to be raining, laundry was piling up, and I thought the wife would want me home for some cuddle time after work (she's pregnant and moody). Turns out she made some last minute dinner plans while I was at work. So I ended up being free-and-clear to go play.

It ended up not raining and it wasn't too cold. I started at 4:15 and was done by 5:28. shot a 45 lol

I officially think that we need to divide WRX members by those who have winter and those who don't. I'm jealous. I can't even make it to the car without falling on my @ss. The furnace hasn't stopped running since sometime in November and I can't remember the last time I saw sun shine. The only thing that resembles my golf swing is the snow shovel, and I decided since I have used it so much that it is my new training aid. You don't need a medicus, just pay attention to the swipes in the snow, make sure that the face of the shovel comes through square at impact and you can get back inside quicker.

Tocino,

Happy that you managed to make it to the course. I don't begrudge a member who chooses to live in a warmer climate. I'm also happy that you had to play sideways for the entire round. ; )

My wife is also currently pregnant. I can make her real happy if I do the laundry, clean the dishes and cuddle with her on the couch. The added benefit is that she is more likely to let me travel to the range so that I can hit balls in the snow.

My folks were in Lakeland for years, then moved up to Windermere. Love that part of Florida. Really love the temps compared to Nashville right now.
