Yes, he is a golf genius. He is *not* a method teacher. He will teach you what *you* need to learn. He has a panel of scientists, biomechanical experts, club designers from huge companies, the founder of Trackman, etc. on his panel of experts. However, he will talk to you, with passion, in plain English.

I also highly recommend Brian. Expansive knowledge but can whittle it down and explain it in many ways until it makes sense. Enjoy!

I really look forward to this review. Adam, now that you have let the cat out of the bag, I expect at least 6 paragraphs and no less than 1000 word write up. I bet you are excited. Try to remember as much as you can and good luck.

I had a chance to go to one of his golf clinics in Luxembourg but just couldn't get the time off in the end - gutted !

I've got a number of his videos and have spent some time on his forum and I would go as far as saying he probably has the most complete understanding of the golf swing of any teacher because of the resources at his disposal.

Anyway, pay attention and please let us know your thoughts afterwards!

I have had two lessons with Brian in Minnesota, one year apart. Not only did he remember me, but was able to take what we initially worked on to another level. He is fantastic and you will improve your ball striking significantly. Most important, he teaches you to be self sufficient in correcting swing issues. Plus, he has the best drills, one for every conceivable issue. I easily have gained thirty yards in distance after our work together, and eliminated the in to out hook plaguing my game. He is also a great guy with wonderful stories.

Just finished up with my last lesson with Brian Manzella yesterday about 5. First off let me say that Brian is high energy and a great guy to be around. Thursday we had to go to city park range because the rang at English Turn was closed. This was the only negative I can think of. The reason I say it's a negative is because I had to hit of mats. But this wasn't Brian's fault and we still got good work in I think.

When I pull up Brian is already there setting up trackman. I start out just hitting a few shots so we can get a baseline. I here Brian behind me looking at the numbers saying "wow". So I'm thinking that's a good thing. WRONG!!! My vertical swing plane was 75-79 degrees with -9 degrees down. I didn't have a clue what that meant but the look on Brian's face told the story.

I'll have a full review when I get back to MS.

6 year old thread. Bringing it back.

I had a lesson with Brian a week ago, and it would not be overstating it to say that he transformed my entire approach in an hour. I've played nearly every day since, and the improvements were not a fluke. Fixed my grip, backswing, follow through, and alignment. Did it in a way I could understand. Did it fast.

I've had 3 other coaches, 2 of whom were good, but this was another level. This was like a pga player vs a scratch golfer that never leaves his home course.

I didn't leave the lesson with a hint or an idea or a maybe that worked. I left with solutions and obvious improvement.

The guy is a @#$&+@@!!! genius.

Admitted bias:I’ve known Brian since middle school. He is an absolute detail oriented guy that is driven to understand the absolute minutia of motion, physics and mental process.....then he relates to each individual based on their cognitive ability and talent.

That being said, I’ve read a lot of negative comments in these forums from a variety of people. Sometimes it is easier to ridicule when the ability to grasp or conceive is difficult. Brian is an absolute genuine guy who loves helping people. He is borderline genius and is often misunderstood. I have played with many of his students and watched him give lessons at English Turn. The one constant I hear from his students is what has been echoed in this thread: he makes very complicated motion/feel/objectives easy to comprehend and his drills are easily relatable to the desired results sought.

Never one to teach to a “method” or swing, he gets the most out of every student’s abilities and they are always better for it

I think if he took the time, he could make quantum physics seem like making ice

just my .02
