Cabo San Lucas Trip

I'm heading out there in a couple of weeks for a father and son trip. We're looking to play both course at Cabo del Sol and possibly the Dunes course at Diamante. Are there any other courses that is worth taking a look at.

Cabo Real is very nice and in great condition. Club Campestre is a great course, very scenic but very tough greens. Have you looked on Trip Advisor for reviews? You can get some good insights on current conditions, etc.

Yes, I was actually on Trip Advisor earlier today. All the courses in Cabo looks pretty amazing. Thanks for the insight.

Where are you guys staying? If you're by San Jose Los Cabos, go to Morgan's. I've eaten there several times, including having a big steak, and it was awesome. Who would ever think you could have a great steak in Mexico?

We're staying at the Fiesta Americana which is supposedly right next to Cabo del Sol. Steak is Mexico? I might have to give that a shot. Thanks for the tips.

Diamanté certainly worth the drive out there. Beautiful views. Assuming money is no object I would skip Cabos Real and play Del Sol Ocean again.

Check out Puerto's Los Cabos. Food is included in the tee time and it is every 4 holes. It's a great amenity. The course is very nice too! Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman design. I played Palmilla mountain and ocean course and loved it. One of the greens on the ocean course is literally on the beach next to the Gulf, as in, public access beach with pedestrians. Very cool. Spectacular views and fun to play.

cabo del sol is great! make sure and buy a ball marker, they are big and heavy!

Try whatever you can to get on Querencia. It's a private club and you have to know someone who's a member to play. If you know anyone who knows anyone who may be a member, it'd be worth it. Best-conditioned course in the area, and the most most spectacular by far IMO. And it's not even on the ocean, it's up on the hill above Palmilla.

But I would avoid the other course at Cabo del Sol, the Weiskopf one. The Nicklaus one (Ocean) is phenomenal, but that one's boring and uninspired IMO. I've also heard the Diamante course is really good, and Palmilla is really fun with some great views but often kinda ratty in terms of conditioning.

I ended up playing both Cabo del Sol course, the desert course was a typical resort course. There were some funking holes and very playable. The Ocean course is worth every penny. We played there yesterday. The wind was blowing pretty solid which made the course more difficult. I was very impressed with the golf course design.

Going to come back in July and planning on hitting up Palmilla and Diamanté.

If you live in SoCal, the flight is only 2hrs and it's a perfect weekend destination.

Another vote for the Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol. Spectacular views and amazing fish tacos at the turn. A cerveza on the veranda afterward is a must as well.
