Lethal vs Tour Preferred X?

And real world experiences comparing the Lethal to the Tour Preferred X balls? What's the difference? Lethals can be purchased very inexpensively these days, so wondering what's improved

Me too. I've started the season with some leftover Lethal balls and like they way the feel/react. I typically play ProV1s, but the Lethal is comparable for me.

I loved the old TP Red LDP.

Just ordered a couple of dozen Tour Preferred so I'll get these into play when they arrive.

Major difference between the two is quite simple; TPX has more approach spin from about 125 yards and in, as well as more green side and bunker spin. Outside of that, the two are very similar driver through short irons.

Tour Preferred X has great distance off the tee, but more spin on approach shots, and especially around the greens. Excellent ball. I just ordered 3 boxes after testing them out for a few rounds.

Lethals spun too much for me off the driver. Just won a box of TPXs. Will be trying them out this weekend.

I hit the lethal & tpx side by side & found the lethal to be longer off the tee, better into the wind, it held the line much better, spin on approaches were about the same, & the lethal felt def softer to me. I am going to get a sleeve of the tp's & hit them side by side with the lethal. So far I am liking the lethal' performance & price.....

So do I, still have a box of TP Red LDP but I am using the Lethal ball, this is the closest. I'll wait for the TPX to drop in price before I'll try..plus I still have 2.5 doz of the Lethal to go thru. Fantastic ball, for sure.

I am a big fan of both balls. Tpx to me has less greenside spin. However the tpx is the best ball I've ever played in regards to the wind. It cuts through the wind like it's not even there.

Lethals are my favorite ones by far. Great feel, spin, and distance. I have squirreled away a TON of these. I haven't tried the tour preferred X, but with the lethals, I've felt no need to.
