Recent order with LGB

Recently ordered a bucket of 50 5a (mint) Taylormade TP Black and Black LDP mix balls. Order just arrived today and when I was going through the balls I was noticing that most were not 5a, but a mix of 4a and 3a. According to their grading scale, the 5a balls should look nearly new. I separated mine out (46x Black LDP, 2x Black, 1x Red LDP, and 1x Penta TP3) of those 21 were no in a condition I would consider 5a. 10 were just really off white, and 11 were badly scuffed. Talked to Heather in Customer Support and gave them the run down and it looks like they are going to send me a label to return these ones and replace them with better quality. I was actually very happy with the mix that I got as I wanted the Black LDP balls to try out. I am hoping that maybe it was just a mistake and someone pulled balls from the wrong bin for my order. I was wondering if anyone else has had that large of a quantity not to the grade that was specified on the order?

On a side note. Does anyone know the difference between the 3 different side stamps on the Black LDP? I received a mix of the below:

<TP/Black LDP> (2008?)

<TP Black LDP> (??)

<TP-Black LDP> (??)

It happens, I had this issue with 2 dozen qstars I ordered about a year ago. The good side is they owned up to it without any trouble and made it right.

The sign of a good company is not being mistake free, but making mistakes right when they happen without a struggle. Have no doubt they'll take care of you.

Just got an email back from Heather saying they are sending out the replacement balls today or tomorrow. Not sure if they are going to include the return label in the box with the new ones or if they are going to email it to me. Either way I have to find a little smaller box to send these back in. I had heard great things about their customer service in the past with people getting a handful of bad balls. They are making it as painless as possible and I can definitely appreciate their hard work as I am in customer service myself.

In the past I have heard them say just keep the bad balls, not sure if this was just to small quantity or what, but I've seen a few different examples of this, and that's what they did for me.

Makes sense. Probably not worth the return shipping.

Yea there were 21 of 50 in mine that were definitely not 5a quality. I am keeping about 6 or 7 more that are discolored, but otherwise in great condition. Did a little putting and chipping in the house and they all feel great. Lets hope the replacements are just as good as the rest I am keeping.

I have had this from them before. With varying levels of response, including the last time in which they did not return 2 emails.

I just received my order. A 50 AAAA bucket of Bridgestone RXs and two dozen AAAA Nike 20XI. Great price and the quality was the best I've received from them. I've probably made 5-6 purchases with LGB and it's been a bit interesting. Different balls mixed in. Some AAA mixed in. In the end it comes down to value. I still think they're a good buy so I keep coming back. I feel really good about this batch. It looks like they're doing a better job so I say give them a try.

I've ordered from them once and won't again based on the same/similar issues w/ the order...several of the balls the cover had a bubble in it. I think it's a cr&p shoot when buying used balls and not worth the risk as who knows what you are actually getting. Too many good deals on balls to go used!
