Big Bertha Alpha for a mid/high 90s swing speed?

I have been a Golf Wrx'er for years now. I know many purists on the site will say they cannot offer an opinion without knowing my smash factor, approach angle, precise launch angle etc. Being up to my neck in snow I have not had the chance to get on a trackman, but will do so in April.

In the meantime, have any mid 90s/high 90s swing speed Golf Wrx'ers from warmer areas where golf is being played benefited from a Big Bertha Alpha? If yes, please share your experiences!

I know its the player and not the equipment, but a core issue holding back my game is that I am shorter off the tee than I should be because many of my drives are pure carry and nearly zero rollout. Practice is 75% or more of fixing the problem, but like so many others I hope there is a great driver, possibly the BB Alpha, that will help to provide lower drive trajectory and some rollout once the ball lands.

Maybe the solution is higher driver loft and setting spin dampening features to their max capability? Thoughts welcome.

thanks!

I'm high 90's to low 100's SS lately (increased from last year!) with fairly low spin already. I demoed it along with some other drivers and got my longest shots with the alpha. I was really surprised. I have a positive angle of attack which may help me.

Long story short, it can be a great driver even at our swing speed. I feel it's overpriced and gimmicky, but the numbers were good.

Are you using the stock shaft? I have a ss of 95-99, but was a bit rusty that day and the fitter gave me the zt in regular flex. Mitsubishi fitting guide only recommends reg flex for ss below 90. I liked the combo a lot, but i dont know if it will be too whippy when i am swinging at my top swing speed.

I feel the Mitsubishi shafts play a little softer than some other brands. You could play a stiff with no problems. But it probably comes down to how much you load the shaft and the feel. If you are a smooth swinger, the regular may be the best bet. If you can, wait until the swing speed gets up to normal and try them again.

I hate to say it, but you need to test both shafts and see which gives you better results. My philosophy has been to play the softest flex shaft, that I can control consistently. That way, I maximize distance. too whippy, and the consistency goes away.

Can only speak for my swing, but I have enjoyed this driver. Still fooling around with set up , but so far, it's been
a good driver. Ability to flight the ball has been easy. Been years since I have had a Callaway. Your results will
vary. My swingspeed is from 96 to 105 on trackman. That said, It is hard to know how fast my swingspeed will
be on any given day. I will certainly see more rollout with a draw spin. But that is where this club shines. I have
found I can deliver a fade result , with a small adjustment in set up. So far, been satisfied with this driver, but
will need to more time to evaluate. Only have eight rounds in Florida with this driver !!
