Titleist Buy 3 get 1 free promotion question

Recommended Posts

I've been getting a bunch of emails today from various places that are offering this promotion again with free customization. I did it last year and it was a good deal.

However it looks like they are all offering it with last year's 2013 ball. Why is that? Last year around this time when I got it I thought the offer was for the new ball at that time, not the previous year's model. Am I wrong?

I got all the emails too. I looked at Golfsmith and saw that the double digits are 57.99 per dozen. I then looked at Budget's deal and all personalization is the same as a regular dozen price.

Also I think the 2013 is the current ball

Okay thanks. I guess my question then is will they be coming out with a 2014 ball?
I think the ProX1/X is on a 2 year cycle so should be 2015 for the next model. All the rest of their balls are new for 2014

These are Titleist ProV1 current models balls. Of course the the great deals you hear about work out within 5% or so (at most) of the price you can find locally at green grass or brick-and-mortar shops. There are almost never discounts on ProV1 balls beyond the yearly 4-for-3 deal.

If you really shop around online and put some effort in, you can probably beat your local pro shop by ten bucks on a $150 order for 4 dozen balls. If nothing else you can at least dodge the local sales tax.

But there's no drop-dead deals to be had out there on ProV1 any more than on a Ping driver.

FYI. Check out carlsgolfland.com. $125.97 total with free shipping. That's $31.50/doz. I've ordered a lot of stuff from them, great service.

Thanks for the tip. Best deal going. I'm about to order 8 dozen even though I wanted the double digits but they don't give that option. At that price I don't care what number is on it, I'll be good for well more than a year.

The double digits are available with this deal.

I ordered them that way last year, and again a couple days ago. I usually go through budgetgolf.com... all in, they were $143.94, shipped.

That is indeed an unusually attractive price. I can't find a price like that on Carl's web site but I'll take your word for it that's the price on offer. It is literally the first time I've ever heard of anyone getting this particular deal for less than $140 for four dozen, delivered.

My feeling is that if you are finding Pro Vs at $48 a dozen and you are one who likes to play the ball (like I do), then buy three get one free saves you $12 a dozen. At that point taxes or shipping per ball is a moot point. I ordered mine on Mar. 13 and they are arriving Mar. 19th from golfballs.com at $6 shipping and no tax. So paying 12.5 cents a ball for shipping won't break me!

Its there. One you click on the shop button there will be a bar on the left side of the screen. Scroll down to ProV1 personalized ball offer and click on that.

I don't think that will break anyone but why pay shipping at all if someone is offering it for free and at 41.97 per dozen + get one free?. I pay 48.00 + tax a dozen whenever I need them but it never hurts to shop around for a better deal.

Yep, there it is. Tricky web site.

Carl's price wasn't nearly that low last year when they did the 4-for-3 deal.

Mine were ordered 3/13 and are scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Very fast turn around!
Where did you order from to get them that fast? Also, how did you get a tracking number? I ordered mine the first day of the promotion through a retailer and they said since they ship directly from the manufacturer, I wouldn't get an email with a tracking number.

Pulled the trigger on the deal from carlsgolfland.com. I have some super soft's to play through first, didn't plan on playing a Pro V this season, but the price is right. Even with the sales tax, the free shipping pretty much made up for it.

Thanks to clmurph1 for putting us on the deal. It took a little poking around to find the deal on the website, but very much worth it!

Where's the least expensive place to take advantage of this deal?

I'm trying to decide between the ProV1 and ProV1x ball this year, because I really like the idea of a super soft feeling ball, but I've played the ProV1x for 10 years it seems.
