Eye dominance?

I found out today that I was right eye dominant. (from doing the circle test with the golf ball, where I make a circle with my hands and put it over the golf ball which is on the ground from my stomach. I look at the ball with both eyes through the circle. When I closed my left eye the ball stayed in the same place whereas when I closed my right eye the ball jumped away from the circle, meaning that my right eye is dominant.) i'm a right handed golfer, so I was wondering if there some adjustments I need to do in setup in both putting and full swings? Thanks

I don't believe that you need to do anything different. I found out years ago that I was left eye dominant, rare since I am a right hand dominant. My swing coach told me that this was a good thing. It allows me to see the ball through my left eye constantly and allow for a bigger shoulder turn without loss of sight of the ball. He actually taught me, and I still do it today, to tilt my head slightly so I have my left eye looking more down at the ball to promote my turn. I have become so used to this that I do it every time except on the green. Just a little something I wanted to share as not many people I know realize the role of eye dominance. Pretty cool thing to know! As far as you're concerned I don't think you need to change anything.

right handed and left eye dominant. i also turn head slightly at setup for ful shots to help with the turn.

my main focus is is putting setup. I prefer moving the ball more forward in my stance under left eye, and also like less offset to help with alignment.

I'm what's known as "cross-dominant", or the opposite of your situation. Right-handed but LEFT-eye dominant....which many feel confers a bit of an advantage in ball-hitting sports.

As a right-dominant player, you probably won't have to make any adjustments unless you are VERY right-eye dominant, and basically only use your left eye for the information your brain needs to construct a 3-D image of your surroundings. People like this will sometimes have to move their heads during the swing in order to keep the ball focused in their right eye. You don't have to think about it, because you'll do it unconsciously if you need to.

The biggest thing I've noticed is that you might find you putt better with certain kinds of putters. As a left-eye dominant player I find I putt noticeably better with mallets and heel-blades. Anything, basically without much offset. Which makes it easier to align the blade squarely while sighting with my left eye. I putt terribly with heel-toe blades. Especially if they have a lot of offset.

I'm betting that you'll probably find that the exact opposite applies in your case. That you'll feel comfortable with off-set putters, and uncomfortable with any putter than lacks it.
