After a quick search none of the euro shops have the smart ball in stock. Other options ?

Just purchased one of these bad boys. Hopeful to improve synchronization in my full swing and also improve chipping and putting consistency!

Women's nylons and tennis ball? (told that to Jim Carey and he said they were too tight around his thighs)

I tried making one of these. It was great for a few weeks until it frayed and the ball flew 30 yards downrange.

I just put my order in. Can't wait. (Bart Scott voice).

How does this differ from that yellow-blue ball that you put between forearms? The name escapes me.

Around the 3:00 mark in this video, Martin talks about the differences.

But to sum it up, it has a lanyard, it is easier to carry around, and you can inflate or deflate it as necessary.

You can make your own, it is not rocket science. But I bought one, and when I am home I really like using it. It definitely helps.

Here we go. My attempt which took about 2 minutes and £3 to make. And the tour striker which arrived today. 10 times the price and 100 times the quality. Easy to blow up and keep in your bag. I'll be using this on the range tomorrow and i can't wait. I'll get some videos up of me using it and we'll see what it does image/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I have it on good authority that the origins of this were founded on the practice of Scottish Shepherds" carrying of Haggis.

(just joking, this is a very fine product).

I can see this coming in very handy for me. I find it actually helps most on pitching. Really keeps everything working together and i can focus on turning and re hinging. Weather is terrible at the mo. Once it clears i'll stick a vid up

I really liked the SmartBall - until it came in the way of my Orange Whip ;-)

I was warming up before a round and had the SmartBall laying on the ground while swinging with the Organge Whip my swing got a bit wide and - POP and the SmartBall was no more. The connection between the ball and the String broke and to make matters worse, the actual ball blew up as well.

So treat your SmartBall with care. It is only a very overpriced mini-beachball with a string attached and just as delicate. It is a good training aid though!

That might be the most unfair criticism of a product I have ever heard.

All I am saying is that you have to be careful with it. I am not blaming the product for it (just my stupidity) but it is just a beach ball with a string in the end. So it is very easy to get a hole in it. The ball is not made out of a thick plastic.

Martin - how does this aid, and the drill you perform, not get you well inside and low? Does the need for a wrist **** get impeded in any way?

I agree, it looks like a beach ball....BUT...it is a fuzzy beach ball that helps to stay between your sweaty forearms. Now if you are in England, you don't have to worry about being over heated, so the fuzzy beach ball stays nicely between sweaters, too. Sorry to hear about you smashing yours. That sucks. If you want another, e-mail [email protected] and tell him your story and we'll give you a discount. Take care and thanks for trying it.

Here's some videos where I'm using it. Doesn't make me go low and inside. Cheers, MC

    Martin,

I am ordering the Smart Ball TODAY. (Credit Card in Hand).....Sorry for the delay, and for threatening to order sooner and then not doing so. No excuses other than I am a habitual procrastinator. I joined your website club also and am a youtube subscriber. I would like to ask if there are any coupon codes, or discounts you might offer to forum members. You can PM me if you like.

    Thanks,

    Dino

For any dissenters. Yes, you could certainly make your own, but this thing is very versatile, and convenience has its value in life. So, just "pull the trigger" and get er done.
