School Record

Do any of you hold your school record in a tournament? IF so what is it? I was inspired because yesterday I just shot our school record A (pathetic) 76.

67 for my school, but my HS was a small school.

I cant remember but one kid from our course(who holds the course record there with 61) shot something ridiculous in provincials(states in US) and it still hasnt been broken so i guess that is the best record from our school.

 

I think for one round though its probably around 65

My junior year we played an easy course in Charlttesville, VA and had a 30, 32, and two 35's for 132, which I believe is the lowest score in state history by 6 or 7 shots. Granted that team had 7 or 8 guys who went on the play D1 in college and one of the kids who didn't travel plays for Florida now.

i dont know bout my school since we dont keep records like that in the past but at one of our rival schools, sunny hills, they had a guy,alex kim, shoot a 7 under in a match against another school. (we only play nine holes in matches)

bk4, where are you from? I am a senior in Richmond, VA.

 

I am from Charlotte, NC, but I went to high school at a boarding school about 90 minutes from Richmond. It drew lots of good golfers from all over the East Coast because it had always had a good golf program and it has a Donald Ross course on campus.

I don't know about lowest individual round, but I know that the team record (play five keep the best four) is right around 277 (plus or minus one or two).

helped set the team record for 9 holes @ my old school.......... 7 under for 9 holes as a team (play 6 keep 5)

yea it's funny will (watchmen) won at fallon with a 71 and we both played together at Lakeridge a couple weeks ago and we both shot 10 strokes lower than at Lakeridge

I never held any records in school, but my high school owns the oklahoma record for most consecutive state championships (6) and largest margin of victory in a state tournament (37 strokes). the lowest round recorded in a tournament was a 60 and the lowest consecutive rounds in a 36 hole-or-more event are 63-67.

I shot 65 in a high school invitational, which is the school and tournament record. And actually tied Sam Snead's course record in the process.... High school golf was the best.

my team had the school record at 177 for 9 holes on a par 36 with 5 guys

For high school I have the record for 9-hole and average. The only 9-hole match we played my senior year I shot 29 with a bogey and my average for my senior year was 71.3.

I also have the 18-hole, 36-hole, 54-hole and birdie records for my university and for the conference. 18-hole: 63, 36-hole: 133(65-68), 54-hole: 197(-17), and 25 birdies in 54 holes.

I shot 32 in a match this year, its not a record though because Charlie Reimer played for my high school which I believe he shot 30 multiple times in his high school career.

our hs school record for an 18 hole round is 61 :/ set by Scott Lander who went on to win the national championship with UNLV with Chad Cambell

I tied his match record this year when I shot 30 at our home course

I hold both the low scoring average of 67.7 which I set this past season, my sophomore year, and the low round of 62 also this past year. Kinda pissed me off to 3 putt 18 for par though :good:

Well my school just shot a TEAM record. 280, even par for 4 scores.

I set the school scoring record as a junior last fall with 37.0 for nine holes.

I know it's not great, but hey, it's Pennsylvania...

I tied the school record at the University of Northern Colorado this spring at one of our tournaments.

I shot 64 in the final round to win by one.

 

And in highschool i hold the 18 hole and 9 hole low rounds and scoring avg's as well

in the u.k we dont have high school golf like you guys..

but in our yearly interschools championship

Jason Shufflebotham shot a 11 under par 60 at a par 71

no1 will beat that from our school atm haha

The best at my school was shot this year it was a 66 in a tournament by our number 2 guy. We ended up winning the tournament of course...lol

i shot 35 on monday. That set the school record, btw I live in Iowa and am a sophomore. I stepped up against the team that got 3rd in state last year. I beat the guys who got 3rd, 6th, and 10th place at state as well. Tied for first. It was a great day for me.
