Along this line I have a Crospete Torpedo III which, at 4lb, isn't a Sunday bag but, to me, is a lot more convenient and functional. It is a tad snug with 14 clubs but minimal sticking and a fair bit of room for balls, tees, etc. You're not going to be packing a rain suit or anything like that, but that's not the point here a anyway. I got mine at Goodwill for $6 in excellent condition, so it was a steal. I'd say if you can find one under $40 or $50 it's worth it.

sold the moon lite- plastic part of strap too long and bag hangs too low, and also wish it had a double strap. got a swift x- more usable pockets and stand. great bag

the one I tried was the pro combo day bag (w/ double strap iirc).... not bad, but the top was too small, and the 2 dividers left spaces that were too narrow to fit a jumbo putter grip. another one that ended up being sold.

It is funny, that looks like another interesting option for a pencil bag that is available in the UK. I looked at a Cleveland and Wilson FG Tour pencil bag that were also interesting, yet seemingly unavailable in US. I wonder why there are more options in UK. Maybe just more demand?

I liked the Mizuno Scratch Sac well enough but ended up selling it -- just didn't want to give up the stand.

I have a Ping Mantis but it collects dust while I use a Ping Mit-E-Lite for my casual walking needs. Love the Mit-E-Lite, wish they were easier to find.

[size=4][size=5]I've found the Mizuno bag to be of poor quality despite being waterproof and having a rainhood,the first two both suffered from failed seams and the latest one I have has a strap that twists too easily and a towel/umbrella loop that self destructed on third time out.[/size][/size]
[size=4][size=5]The old single strap Titleist/Pro V1 bags have been the best as far as quality of fabric is concerned,I have one of each that are used daily and are kept going with wraps of black waterproof tape on the base and mouth to cover areas liable to fray.[/size][/size]
[size=4][size=5]I have a Sun Mountain X-strap which is also pretty good but the straps tend to go a bit thin after being used for a while,I've never liked the Ping having tried a pal's out once,strap is very uncomfortable and not needed because all I do to avoid stooping is to hook the club I've just used into the strap to lift it off the ground so that I can reach.Simple![/size][/size]

I've gone to my pencil bag after too many back and neck problems. At 24 years old, it's not good!! I had/have a sun mountain H2NO. Love the fact it's waterproof but it just a few down sides that are getting on my nerves. I pretty much always carry unless doing 36 holes. I've packed my Cobra excell dual strap for tomorrow so i'm looking forward to see if it makes a difference

I use the Taylormade Quiver bag. It has a double strap and I can fit everything I need in it. Highly recommend it.

I've been using pencil bags for quite some years. Last year, I bought a Sun Mountain X strap, have been using it since as a one strap. It's holding up well, only wear seems to be one of the top divider cushions. I play with 5-7 clubs, so the whole kit is light as a feather.

I bought an original Ping carry bag from the 1980's at a thrift shop a couple years ago. Use it when I play my ancient Pings from 1975.

One bag I really liked was a Walter Hagen Sunday bag bought at Dick's about 10 years ago. It was totally unstructured and weighed next to nothing. It had rubber clips in the top so clubs would help the bag stay rigid. It was durable, cheap, and relatively modern looking. I threw it away last year, too tattered for use. They must have been relatively popular, for mine was the last they had, a floor model. Of course, it's discontinued.
