Moorea Green Pearl!!!!!!

Played here on one of the stops for the honeymoon in October, thought some might like to see a few pics. Fun course, really nice Mizuno rental clubs, but STUPID prices for golf balls. Fun course though, and some decent views. I was pretty excited to play this course, but after doing all kinds of other stuff on the islands, I could have very well skipped out on this. Anyways, heres a few pictures!

the area was amazing, the pictures just dont do it justice. Bora Bora was the most beautiful place Ive ever seen in my life, its like paradise.

Kekoa, we stayed at the Intercontinental Thallaso in Bora Bora.... wow is friggen right.

Tai, I was playing in my chuck's, I wasnt planning on playing at all so I left my stuff at home, and my awesome wife insisted that we should play it once we got to the island!

Damn, I think you got a lot of golfers looking at trips to Bora Bora.

How was the course to play? Was the grass similar to the desert courses near you? I love the downhill shot looking over the ocean (what was the smoke btw?)

The course was actually on the island or Moorea, an island larger than Bora Bora, but smaller than Tahiti. The course was fun to play, but honestly, the turf conditions left a bit to be desired. The island population is very small, so I doubt it makes alot of money to dump in to upkeep. I will say that while the turf was kind of spotty in areas, it was manicured very well, so they were trying. I guess they have a hard time keeping the turf nice and grown in with the proximity to the ocean. The closer we got to the water, the more sparse the growth was. I've heard that some tracks in Hawaii have similar problems? Still really fun though, even though I didnt have a glove, my golf spikes, my clubs haha.



The smoke was from someone's yard, they burn their yard waste there.

Thanks dude, the wedding was awesome, I think Matt got pretty nice and hammered haha. Those last two pics are of bora bora, and it really doesnt do it justice, but I dont want to turn this in to a total "post pics of your honeymoon" thread haha

That looks absolutely amazing, put it on the list of places I'd like to go! I think my favorite picture is the one of the cart path literally feet from the ocean, that's just beautiful.

oh wow. my wife and i stayed at the same place. it was brand new when we stayed. we hit up mo orea first and then bora bora for a week. that course u played was still under construction. One day I hope to go back there. trip of a lifetime.

We Flew in to Tahiti and stayed a night there, then did Bora Bora for 3 days, then 5 in Moorea, then one more in Tahiti. Bora Bora was so sick, but it was definitely more of just sitting on the beach or on the deck of the room and RELAXING. Moorea was really cool,too. There was definately more to do in Moorea IMO, and Tahiti.... well, I don't think we'd bother going back there. We're already planning for our trip back in August hahah.

Apes Hill in Barbados was cool

Aruba had a great course called Tierra del Sol, on a point and windy

I loved Mauna Kea and Mauna Lani on the Big Island of Hawaii

Loved Wailea in Maui

Emerald Reef in Exuma Bahamas was great

Turks and Caicos had a fun track called Provo, Jeter was in the group behind me

Saw some crazy wildlife at Cozumel Country Club in Mexico
