Last minute mini vacation for golf

I have some time I have to take for vacation. Anyone know some good last minute deals or places to go. I am off next week and want to go someplace warmer..its in the 50's next week here. I was thinking myrtle beach and florida, but with florida I don't know what area to go to

You can't go wrong with Orlando. Airfares are generally cheap due to all the competition. 'Same with rental car rates. There are numerous public courses. Check out the 'Florida' section of the travel forum.

Right now you can stay and play in orlando for very cheap as it is the down time here. It's been pretty wet here the last week or so but with all the courses being sand based that should dry by the weekend as long as there's not that much more rain. But if Orlando is your destination there are probably 5 or 6 really good courses you can play on golf now for very cheap.

Course reviews and suggestions are on the FL posts, but quick favorites would be Orange County national, Celebration, Waldorf, Grand Cypress, Shingle Creek and the Ritz. Those are all like 10 min from disney.

Another option would be the RTJ Trail in Alabama if you don't mind a bit of driving. They have some excellent courses, and are extremely affordable. There are several courses in the Birmingham area, and it's a short drive to Montomery.

Bella Collina is a spectacular track, played there back in Feb. About 30 min NW of the Orlando airport.

Dallas has very good weather this time of year, sunny and between 60 and 85 degrees. Plus it's a major air transportation hub.
