Please, please, pleeeeeeease PING...don't change a thing about these!

I know they won't keep 'prototype' but at most just replace it with the name and leave everything else as is.

Are you able to comment on the shaft and head weight (feel) compared to the Tour Gorge? Great looking wedge, looking forward to the test and review.

They already have a finished version and it looks identical. It's called Glide.

That's the way wedges are suppose to look. They just need to be forged.

Love that heel relief on the 54-56. These look really nice, great tear shape.
I wonder why the 60 doesn't have the same relief. Seems like it would be useful for opening up for flop shots.

Upon closer look it does appear to have a CTP.. That is unfortunate as I always thought that is what made the Anser wedges feel so much better than the all the Tour wedges..I don't think forging 8620 had any more feel than cast 8620 or 17-4ph. The CTP always seemed to give the wedges a dead feel.. While all their others that had no CTP felt much better going back to the eye2s..

Awesome! Love the stealth weight port, and love that they continue to put weight ports in all their irons and wedges.

For someone who mentioned the SS "like Scratch does", you should know that SS for PING means Standard Sole. Then they usually have WS for Wide Sole. TS for Tour Sole. I don't know that they are necessarily different grinds, the main difference is the width of the sole.
TS actually stands for thin sole, not tour sole. You are correct with standard sole and wide sole.

Absolutely great looking wedges. I'm afraid I have a question that may seem rather ridiculous to some but, what is "CTP?"
Not ridiculous.

Ctp = Custom tuning port.

It's a weighted port on the back of Ping irons and wedges that allows for swing weight and sound/feel changes. A portion of the CTP has an elastomer built in which can alter the firmness/softness of the iron.

It's been around since the i3 irons.

In the (extremely) off chance that anyone at Ping reads these forums, I'll add my name to the list of people who are full-on begging for these to be released pretty much as-is. Replace the "Prototype" stamp with a similarly understated stamping of whatever the name ends up being, and these will look soooo good.

I predict that this will not happen.

Can you confirm if it had the Glide script where the current Prototype script is?

The more I look at these the more I like them! I'm really a big fan of my current Gorge wedges but these just have "it" when it comes to the understated look and finish.

I really hope the finish is a brushed satin and not the plating they've used on the i25's.
