I personally played the 690.mb for two years and recently went back to the MP-33s. Much softer feel than the 690s and also like the looks of the 33s vs the 690s. As far as quality, I think they are comparable. But I think the 33s will be in the bag for awhile. Haven't tried the 32s or the 60s, nice looking and they seem to have quite a following on this forum....just hard to go wrong with the 33s. Just my .02.

In MY opinion (FWIW) Mizuno offers better retail forgings. Their main selling point, as you probably already know, is the Grain Flow Forged process. It makes sense to me why a one-piece forging (Mizuno) could be more consistent than a two-piece, welded forging (Titleist). So in MY OPINION Mizuno offers the best retail blades because of their forging process (of course, I also like the feel that particular forging produces and the consistency from club to club). I'm not a Titleist hater -- they make by far better woods and putters than Mizuno, but Mizzy irons are second to none.

First of all I want to make it clear, that I love Titleist products - BUT when it comes to irons I MUCH PREFER MIZUNO :smilie_titty:

I think Mizunos grain flow forging is not only softer than Titleist's Endo forged irons but also more durable and far better feeling to me. No contest.

And now that Bob Bettinardi has joined forces with Mizuno and soon will release a new Mizuno Bettinardi putter line, I'm not so sure Scottty Cameron will be making the best putters - at least Bettinardi and Mizuno will make a worthy competitor now

I still love my 4 Scotty putters and will probably always support the Titleist and Scotty brand, but I'm really looking forward to what the collaboration between Bettinardi and Mizuno will result in

i'm not saying that mizuno iron designs are better than titleist (nor are they worse), but mizuno is a better forging. better feel and better sound.

I've also always been a titleist fan, but currently play the MP32's. I dont think anyone can argue that one company's forging's are better quality than the other.

It really comes down to the feel of the club, and personal preference. Mizuno is famous for the "butter" soft feel of their irons, and Titleist is known for having a very solid feel. I think it just comes down to which feel you prefer.

Mizunos are probably a little softer due to the process used. Most of Titleist's stuff is now done by Endo whose softness varies wildly from plant to plant. The 735s being the softest iron Titleist has produced since the 681s. Only Miura uses two piece w/ welded hosels---Titleist and Endo do not. Endo does produce a two piece forging for callaway however but it is a face weld. When Titleist used Hoffman in the U.S. they definitely were much softer feeling than Mizuno but since they have switched to Endo NO WAY. Mizuno controls the raw material quality much better than Endo does (and that's a fact Jack).

Titleist forging is better than Mizuno's grain flow forging. Titleist forging's produce a softer feel and more workability than that of Mizuno. Just a fact; not my opinion.

The initial post specifically asked for opinions, not bogus "facts." I'm not saying you're wrong by any means, but can you provide some information as to why you hold that opinion? Looking at your sig it becomes apparent you do not currently play either manufacturer's clubs. Have you played them previously? I'm sorry, but if you try to make a post objective rather than subjective (opinions are subjective) you must give indisputable facts or back up your opinions with indisputable facts. J.A.T. for future reference.
