A little driver shaft experimentation

Fujikura Fuel Tour Spec 70x tipped 1"
So got the Fuel TS 70x gripped up and tested a little bit on the range, didnt have the AD DI 8x to go shaft to shaft. But what a different feeling, and lower launch will have to get on trackman to compare #'s. Fuel IMOP a more stout shaft and higher kick point, you definitely can toss the kitchen sink at it

How are those MP4's treating you? Fuel TS is a shaft I always wanted to try but never got around to it.

Long story, had to send to back to Mizzy to get the specs fixed - not a happy camper, but Cust Svc at mizzy has been great. Hit before I sent back, they are awesome. So smooth, even with C Taper X

Fuel TS, best way I could describe, IMOP - got a little firmer feel (higher kick point) than the AD DI 8x, def lower launch.

VERY VERY straight shaft, DEF anti left, and cost effective

Rick Ross on here got it for me

Fuel TS in a 913 D3 was a bomber for me, the longest 913 setup that I played.
I could see that

Fairway finder I bet? For the cost, its has to be tough to beat. Baby fades for me, to hit a slight draw I had to turn on it hard. Low Launching lower than the AD DI 8x, and from the roll out, looked like low spin, but nothing confirmed by trackman, only visual on the range. Feel was nice from the Fuel TS

Great looking stick, I've been interested in that shaft for awhile now and thinking about getting it in a 915. Hope it treats you well
Scratchgolfer; posted posted above, he had a fuel in a 913 and liked it, he might be able to add some input on the shaft in the titleist, scatch also did a fitting at TPI for the 915.

Previously Had an AD DI 8x prior, shafts are not totally dis similar, but the Fuel TS is def lower launch

Got some time with the new shaft on the course yesterday, and also a chance to use the Mizuno sticks - Tough to compare 100% as it was only 60* , rainy, and a little 10-15 mph breeze, in west texas thats considered no wind.

- Fuel TS 70x - def lower launch than the AD DI 8x, very straight, as for distance , with the light rain and different wind direction was tough to est dist. diff. only hit one badly left and that was the indian not the arrow, prob b.c. I am not used to playing with rain gloves on. Need to work on playing with the rain gloves.

- Mizuno irons, biggest change from the MB 712's to the mp4's is the shafts, C Taper X vs X100. Also from 6-PW i went with a .25" length difference between clubs.
- C Taper X, a little higher ball flight than the x100s IMOP if not really close
- Def lower spin and I really like the feel, on the greens most of the balls where hitting and releasing about 4-9 feet which is always what I wanted. have a 8 iron C Taper X shafts which is ssx1 in the wedges and can spin those
- into the wind they preform great - and I play off a 32* 6 iron and 48* PW
- easier for me to flight down

One thing I meant to add, when I miss, Ill miss the driver toward the toe side, one of the diff btw the AD DI AND fuel was if I make a crappy swing, catching the the ball toward the toe and trying to steer the ball, the fuel gives me a straighter flight vs that same miss on the AD DI

How do you like the P95/Stage 2 combo? Looks like a direction I might be heading in.
hate to sound cliche, but its one of my favorite sicks in the bag, for full disclosure purposes its a tour van head, which means its been measured and hot melted - nothing diff than retail OTHER than the measured specs and hot melt. Only reason I went that route, I wanted 15* loft, and 58* lie angle REALLY mostly the flatter lie angle - shaft is tipped 1" . Was using 906f2 prior

Finally got this on trackman, should have had the AD DI to hit against

ave #
-160 - 162 BS
- (-1.5 to - 1.9) AOA : I used to hit up on it so nice I do not know what happened
- 2700 - 3000 spin (that would be better if I had not hit down like a freakin sand wedge; Indian not the arrow issue with the set up)
- LA 10.6*
- smash 1.48 to 1.5

Compared to the AD DI 8x - both shafts tipped 1" and @ 44.5"

AD DI launched a degree or two higher, my smash factor with the Fuel Tour Spec was higher, thus the length is a little longer, Big Positive im straighter with the Fuel Tour Spec

If I can obtain a positive AOA on this sucker it will be a great set up

Decent numbers, but it looks like you could definitely gain from more launch. Even though I know you didn't get to compare, I'm curious to see how the DI profile stacks up against the Fuel, because the Fuel and DI are very different profiles. The DI is a profile that gives me great launch and ball speed, while I can't load the Fuel well, even the lighter weights and a flex down.

Dumb luck? I was looking for an Adams 9015D, and one came up with a Rombax 80B in it. I thought I'd give it a go for kicks, then pull the shaft and resell or use it in a FW. Turns out the 80B worked really well for me (I still have the club), so I tried a Rombax 8D07HB and that was great too (also still have that one). Talked to JW a bit about the P95 and decided to try i it and I love it.

I also think the Rombax profile is different than the Fuel. From what I can tell, the Rombax loads much easier for me than the Fuel.
