I always enjoy reading stuff like this... Ryan's club choices are always intriguing to me. BUT its hard to put a ton of value into them because he changes so often but it is cool to see what he plays because he must like whatever it is enough to play it without getting paid to play it. Heck, I imagine he paid Von's for the fitting and the clubs. I believe he won last year with S55's but pretty much the same bag the rest of the way. Looks like same driver, 5 wood, hybrid and putter... those must be real good for him to play them for a year... LOL.

I actually own the first set of Scratch irons he used, when he first signed with them.

Bought 'em from his buddy.

Those are DG X-100 shafts and progressive offset hosels.

RM must experiment some with clubs, as he seems to change his preferences often.

The Miura clubs Ryan Moore used for CIMB were made/fitted by a Seattle local PGA fitter named Jim Von Lossow of Von's Golf. I went to him for a fitting last Spring, and he recommended I get a driver with a specific loft, shaft flex, weight and length that has improved my average on tee shots by almost 30 yards, and improved the number of straight shots (as opposed to frequent slices) from about half to over 80%, and even my misses are straighter. I was able to get a used TaylorMade R5 that had the specs he recommended, so it didn't cost much at all to implement the change. When I'm in the market for any other new clubs, I'm going back to him.

[/quote]Absolutely he would make a good WRXer. But he does experiment with some interesting stuff and I will say he is one heck of a ball striker whatever he uses. I did notice Sunday he had TM on the side of his hat but his bag had nothing about TM on it but it had sponsorship from some resort. Did not see what ball he was playing

It's not Titleist, as they don't list him among the 151 players on their site!

Just because he's not on the site, doesn't mean he wasn't playing the ball. Here's a snapshot of the article with his winning equipment.

15, 19 and 20 degree woods+hybrid. Are his clubs all tricked up and whacked up like other pros manipulated lofts and so on?

But if Titleist doesn't name Moore, it likely means they aren't paying him either.

He's probably looking for a ball contract.

Not really. He likes the switch it up from time to time. He's played Callaway, TaylorMade, and Tirleist balls within the last two years. No need to staple yourself down if you're comfortable finding new things that work for you.
