Name Those Clubs & Shafts!!!!! Titleist eight digit serial???

[in your best TV announcer voice] Welcome folks to America's greatest new game show, The Name Those Clubs & Shafts Game; where the object is to name those clubs and shafts! Winners get a no-expenses paid trip to their most frequented golf course and the knowledge of knowing they helped a poor, lost soul!

Alright enough of that, here's the scoop. I picked up a set of clubs on the bay and am at a loss for where they came from. I've put in an inquiry to Titleist to try and find out what I've got but figured that perhaps the sleuths here at WRX could also shed some light.

The set is a 710 CB/MB blend that appears to have been put together from three separate sets as there are three serials throughout. The 4, 5 irons are CB's and have a matching 5-digit serial that would indicate a custom order. The 6 iron has a 7-digit serial that suggests an off-the-rack set club. But here's where it gets interesting, the 7, 8, and 9 irons have an 8-digit serial on all clubs! Could it be that those clubs came from Europe or Japan or something? Or maybe they're the most impressive counterfeits ever made?

Also the shafts have no markings whatsoever. They appear to be rifles of some sort so I pulled all of the grips and only the 7, 8, and 9 irons had stickers indicating flex and club install. But there are no serials. I would think that the shafts were an aftermarket install since they match up pretty well but whoever did the work mimicked Titleist pretty well even using the correct ferrules (maybe that's not such a rarity).

Anyone have any ideas?

Couldn't tell you anything about the 8 digit serials (other than they don't look machine stamped), but the shaft stickers indicate Rifle taper tipped 6.0 (pre-True Temper, I believe.)
Per Titleist CS the 5-digit code came up as an old set of Cobra S9 irons?? 7-digit number is a stock set, 3-P 710MB. And the 8-digit is a sequence that hasn't been used by Acushnet. I inquired about the possibility of coming from Europe or Japan and the numbers would have popped up from there as well. Hope that helps.

The CB and 6 iron MB serials checked out for my shop manager who called Titleist but the eight digit stuff came up nil. No idea what they are at this point. Odd.

The shafts are definitely older original rifle 6.0's. Maybe toss up some pictures on the clubs with the 8 digit serial. That might help to determine if they are genuine.

Ask and ye shall receive.

These are the 6 iron (confirmed stocker set) and 7 iron (eight digit serial with wear on the face).
