Ahhhh, you are correct. Still don't love the topline on the 7 iron, but not as bad as I originally thought.

He has the rarely seen UDI 4, a club and loft only made for the tour (same with his 47 wedge). Some fitter accounts should be able to special order both of those.

He has been playing some wonky lofts for a while now. I recall when he won earlier in the year, that he had a 13 degree driver, and 17 degree 3 wood. He kills the ball so I guess he can get away with the higher lofts.

I also remember a few years ago that he was gaming the original gray RBZ irons...which were pretty bulky. Might have been the most GI irons of any other guy on tour.

Either way this is one of the better WITB simply because its not what you would expect. 9/10 WITB are pretty much exactly what you would expect nowadays, which is essentially whatever the newest model of clubs are with x flex shafts.

He's a low launch guy. I've seen him hit balls at the range before and my club fitter friend has played several money rounds with him. He has a high ss but a negative aoa from what my buddy told me according to his trackman data.

[/quote] One could only guess he either has to have a extreme negative attack angle or have an low spin loft at impact causing him to need a higher loft in his longer clubs

The RBZ irons he was playing at that time were one off heads made for the tour. They were alot smaller than the retail version aswell as a thinner topline. i remember because i wanted a set.

His putter grip is made by Prescription Golf.

See the attached website for more info. I believe Vijay was using their grips on his wood and irons for a while.
