are works of art. But the object is to get the ball in the hole. Odyssey is number one on tour for a reason.

He asked the OEM's to send him a bunch of putters on Twitter and it was something over 100 different putters. The White Damascus iX made the cut. Then he returned pretty much everything else to the OEM's rather than stockpile. It was an interesting approach.

That's right! I couldn't remember exactly how it came about, but I knew it was something like that. Yes very interesting approach. He has stuck with it for a while now. I was looking for a cover the other day on Ebay and saw that same model new. I can't remember the asking price, but it was much less than what it sold for when it came out.

Farst is correct about the steel. It's the same super high grade steel they make swords from.
The center portion of the face is patterned like the Metal X.
It looks like a Black Series Tour Design, with the Tri Hot tungsten flange attached, with a center insert damascus steel Metal X within an insert of damascus steel.

Ha! I resisted for a long time on that theory. I tried the iron like hybrid at first ( Callaway X Utility) but finally caved in and put a regular hybrid in that spot.
I figured if it's good enough for Kuch, it's good enough for me!!

It's one piece of Damascus over the top of a urethane insert. The metal-x pattern is chemically etched in the middle of the Damascus. So not an insert within the insert, so to speak.

I would say a PXI 7.0 is hardly any stiffer then the regular PX 6.0. The 6.5 plays about like a 5.5

That's interesting. I've only seen pics. However that does make total sense. Thanks for the info. I'm a big Odyssey fan. Very nice putter.
I think I would like it better without the metal X stamping though.
