I realize she's a great golfer, but whenever I see her, this picture (of her licking the Solheim Cup trophy) comes to mind, of the 2005 Solehim Cup awards ceremony. Here is the text from Christina Kim's comments to a reporter, after the Solheim cup win:

"No doubt, I can't even put to words what I'm feeling right now. I lost my voice. I've gained so much just spirit and love from all of these people here, and especially on a day like today, just to remember all the people that we lost in 9/11, to know that we can take that Cup and represent our country, and do it with pride and grace and class, it's unbelievable."

Is "pride and grace and class" what you think of when you see this picture? I don't.

HOORAY for Christina. I know she's been the subject of a lot of teasing and the butt end of a lot of jokes but she's looking fantastic. She's lost twenty-five pounds and is currently running nine miles a day. Five in the morning and four in the afternoon. When she was asked about how it will affect her game, she said she was hitting 700 balls a day at the range while she made the dramatic weight loss and she's feeling comfortable and more energetic then ever. As if she needed the extra energy. She's always been one of my favorites and I'm just really glad she made the change for the better. I hope the new body will energize her game to bigger heights! ;)

She has lost a LOT of weight. You could really see it when she ran out onto the green at the SBS to douse Joo Mi Kim with champagne. It seems like her work ethic is really paying off. Good for her.

Maybe now people will stop focusing on her weight and start taking a look at her terrific golf game! I mean, I'm all for athletes looking like athletes, but Golf isn't exactly basketball or hockey.

Anyway, good luck to Christina, she'll be one of the ladies I'll be pulling for every week!

I just love Christina, I was lucky enough to see her play in the Ladies Australian Masters one year at the Gold Coast, she was wonderful, she was so lovely and happy and interacted with the public, the crowds loved her.
