Heading south from STL early spring. Suggestions?

Looking for suggestions on golf trips within 1 day (12hr) driving distance of STL for early spring. Have been to RTJ in Alabama and loved it. Thinking of trying something new this yr.

I hear Biloxi is a great place to play and gamble. Nice beaches and restaurants. Going in March?

Biloxi is good, but probably right on the line (if not over) his 12 hour drive time limit. I prefer to stay in Bay St. Louis over Biloxi though when on the MS coast.

Fallen Oak is outstanding and worth spending one night in the ridiculously overrated Beau Rivage. The Oaks is good. I played Windance on my last MS gulf run back in July and enjoyed it too. I've always thought Grand Bear was nothing special, but readily admit I seem to be in the minority on that view.

We have some guys that go down to Biloxi and as well to Tunica and play on the way down and on the way back. They have stopped at Miramichi (sp?) and loved it. Good luck!

Go back to Alabama and spend some time at Farmlinks.

Curious, where on the Trail have you played? We've played Silver Lakes before, and are spending a few days at Capitol Hill the last week in March.

Not familiar with Farmlinks. Ill look it up. Have played capital hill and grand national. Both are awesome but we prefer capital hill. I tried getting on at Lakewood last year but they said it was private.

Looking to go to Biloxi area in the first week of March. Thinking we'll play Shell Landing, Grand Bear and The Bridges. One of the guys on the trip will be very upset with dormant grass, do these courses all overseed in the winter? If not, is there 3 courses in the area that do? We'll probably play a morning 18, and the replay at least 9 at the same course each day. Looks like the Hurrah's Gulf Coast casino has the best room rates, any suggestion on where to stay? Got a quote from the IP casino on a stay and play package, but looks like I can save ~250 by staying at Hurrah's and paying rack rates at the courses.
