Here's my experience... I'd consider myself a decent putter, 29-30 ppr and keep my eyes slightly inside the ball. so the 'line of sight' utility for setup isn't all that useful (for me). the balls weigh slightly more than a regulation ball, but don't seem to go as far as a real ball with a comparable stroke... so you gotta really tag it, which means gyroscopic force will keep it upright, i.e., a you gotta make a really bad cutting across stroke to make it wobble. and even if you do make a horrible stroke, if you hit it hard enough it will eventually straighten out and roll. it also has a very high pitched click compared to even a cheap ball (srixon ad333). I got these as a gift. knowing what I know about them I'm not sure I'd buy them. my 2c

I actually just bought a 3-ball pack ($40+tax!) over the weekend and practiced daily with it since. Here are my preliminary findings.

Setup:
9 feet carpet putting. My putter is a milled Anser styled head.

Experiment (I have done this 3 times over 3 days)
- hit 10 regular balls first. I might hit sweetspot 1-2 times.
- hit 10-20 putter wheels
- hit 10 regular balls. I hit sweetspot 6-7 times.

Findings
- I hit sweetspot more
- It makes sure I accelerate through my stroke. (decelerating stroke = wobbled putter wheel everytime)
- To a lesser degree, I just swing the putter and don't manipulate the hands. (hand manipulation = wobbled putter wheel)

"if you hit it hard enough it will eventually straighten out and roll." - The trick is to distance control it. If you jam one, it'll stay upright easily.

"it also has a very high pitched click compared to even a cheap ball (srixon ad333). " - the feel is pretty bad.

Odd that this topic came up today. My club fitter and I were talking putters and my desire to narrow down the list of putters I posses to a gamer or two that he will modify to my liking. He said he would give me a putter wheel to try and if I don't putt it well one of my flat sticks then I probably don't want to keep that one in the rotation.

I never heard of it before so I looked it up and yes it does look identical to a pill. There may be something to colored line inside the putter wheel? I've rolled a few pills before and it looks to be a decent training aid. For the ridiculous price putter wheel charges though I can't see buying it. I'm simply too lazy to line it up properly more than a few times and wouldn't get my money's worth.

We all have to make money in this world to survive but why are they charging prov prices for only 3 half balls? $40 is a non starter for me and I'm easily susceptible to anything that I think may help.
