OK so I have had a chance to get several rounds in with these.

Adams MB2 Irons-

Pros: Forged, Feel and Forgiveness with a smaller head and top line, stock KBS tour shafts and multi compound grips, color, Price, equal weighting throughout the set.

Cons: They gouge really easy. My very first hit with these looked as if I took a chisel to the face. (It just striped the outer coating off but felt rough/sharp to the touch)

Bottom Line: If you like a blade iron with the forgiveness of a cavity back these are for you.

__________________________________________________________

Review-

"The Idea MB2 Irons are specifically designed with better players in mind. This set of tour-proven muscle-back irons features a raw finish that allows for maximum groove volume and better feel. The MB2 Irons feature brass weight plugs in the sole area that lowers the center of gravity (CG) for precise shot shaping and control." ADAMS WEB SITE

Looks: First look out of the box was Man I like these. The raw color of the head says I'm meant to be used. That coupled with the color of the shaft and grip, they just go together. It goes with My bag, all dark clubs. I like the look of the 5 brass inserts and the etching detail along the top line, kind of gives the irons their own personality. These are far from shovels, for me the smallest iron head I have ever used. The thing I like about these most is that they rust. This gives them the cool patina look that they have been around the block a couple times.

I had a guy ask me how long I have had them, Did your Pop give those to you. I laughed and said, I have only had them for 2 months and no they were not used.

Performance/playability: Performance wise, it took me a couple days to get use to. AT first I was thinking too much. Oh these are blade I can't hit these, man these shafts feel weird compared to the PX 6.0s etc. After they warmed up to me, Boy was I wrong. These are really easy to hit. I hit these higher and longer than any previous set I have owned. I'm able to fade these, slice the ball when need with the longer irons. I draw the ball normally and with these, that will continue to happen. They cut through the turf like a hot knife in butter. I also get enough spin to suit my game. As for the 3 and 4 irons, I have never hit one before because I learned to play with hybrids. Well with these irons, it's no issue. I use them on the tee, in the rough and fairways. I have no issue get them up (so to speak) or keeping the ball down into the wind. I do think I have lost any distance, if I have it is not that noticeable.

Feel: After I got use to the irons, they fell amazing. The shaft and head combo is really smooth which allows me to feel everything. I can feel the ball across the whole club face, although the hosel hits can fell really harsh everything else is tolerable. When hit on the sweat spot, it feels like I'm hitting a marsh mellow. These are better feeling iron then my Pro Golds hands down, and will go out on a limb and say better the MX23s I had.

Overall bottom line: I love these iron. Once you get use to them they will do anything you need them to do. You will get the play ability of a blade and the feel and forgiveness of a cavity back or game improvement iron. The price line is great for this caliber of iron. I think it will be hard to find anything out there that is better IMHO. If you are looking for an iron that gives off the look that they have been played hard and put up wet, these are the irons for you. These irons where made for the Pro's/ Low handicap player but can be used by anyone hence me the 15 handicap player.

I know this is probably all over the place but I hope this make since. I took a break from studying so my brain is dead and my eyes are glazed over.

This isn't a typical blade set in regards to the amount of offset that they have, a long time ago I sent Adams an e-mail asking for the offset specifications on these clubs. I think you will be shocked as I was reading the numbers bellow. Just to compare offset to other companies in blades I included those specs as well.

Removing the offset specifications the feel is really good not harsh or click like. These are really forgiving irons for blades which caught me off guard when i tried them awhile back. These are for someone that wants to have the offset of a Players Cb or more offset but wants the feel and workability of a blade. I just couldn't get over the large offset numbers i miss with a hook the ball already and needed something with less offset.

was hitting three irons in the bay at a golf superstore. Was looking for a forged 3 iron to match up with my MP-68's and use as a driving iron on shortish holes. Hit the H4 and the 64's and loved both. Consistently 230 range. Then grabbed an MB2 3i just for fun. First shot was over 250 (higher launch). WTF? Kept happening. I have a high speed/low spin swing (kind of a trap/hold if you will). I think I benefited from the tungsten weights and the KBS shafts. Feel was amazing as well.

Just ordered a brand new set with X-flex KBS and I think they might oust the 68's that have stood tall for almost 2 yrs.

I gave these a try and WOW! These are confidence buildiing clubs. Gained an ave. 5 yards. Im a 9 index and played PING S models for years, These MB2 are beautiful, workable and as forgiving as my set of Titleist 681 blades and kicked out my set of Mizuno MP 69's . I have a set of rare high polished nickel chrome with x100 shafts. I kicked around the idea of a combo set CMB 4-6 and MB2 7-pw. This is working well for me.

They have been the first equipment change that legitimately made me better. Not the feel of my Hogan's, but the performance made gave me no other option. I tried probably 20 different sets of forged irons, and these were significantly better for me than any other. This includes all the Mizunos, which I went into my search believing I would end up with.

I shot more rounds in the 60s since I got these in June than I had the last three years combined, and probably hit more shots inside 3 feet than I have the last 3 years combined. I feel like they are cheater clubs...

Just bought some 3-pw mb2 heads.

Over the past couple years I've owned Cally X-proto, Miura 1957 small and TB blades, and most recently Fourteen FH1000. Looking forward to the MB2's !

Just bought some on ebay from an international seller.. I think they are just standard retail Raw heads. Once I get them i'll have my clubmaker adjust the loft/lie to the same specs as my Fourteen TC-930, which would be slightly weaker lofts in the shorter irons and 1* flat for all clubs from Adams specs.

My new irons for 2015 will be the Adams MB2. I just got them from another WXR'er yesterday and ran directly to the range for some playtime. Could not be happier. They are very solid and easy to control flight (Very windy yesterday) but are forgiving for this type of iron. They are replacing my beloved S55. I can leave more details once I have some course time.

Driver: Titleist TSR4 - Folds of Honor Ventura Blue TR
Fairway: Taylormade Stealth 2 16.5 - Tour UB TX

7 Wood: PXG Gen 5 7 wood - AD XS

Irons:   PXG 0317 CB 5-G - Steelfiber Reserve 110cw

Yes they do come in left handed! I have gamed these irons for 2 1/2 seasons now and i don't think i will ever buy a new set of clubs. I love these and have not seen/hit any club that even comes close in feel, look, forgiveness, or any other characteristic of an iron, to the MB2s since.

OK - it has been almost 4 months with my MB2. I absolutely love them and played some great golf over this stretch. My GIR is up 8% to today and i expect that to raise some more since I am getting really use to these now. Hit high, low on demand but prefer a baby fade with my irons (always have a problem turning over a draw consistently). I have had several people comment on their looks but also a few close friends tried them at our range with very surprising results. These are easy and forgiving. I like them so much i came across a set of ebay - 7 tungston weights but the PVD version so i picked them up for cheap and will be shafting them up with my second favorite shaft - Modus 3 120's.

I am locked and loaded for the 2015 season.

Have a great 2015 golf season!!
Man you scored on the 7 wieght ones, they are RARE! Glad you like these beauties. Diffenitley easiest and most forgiving blade I've ever played. I was warming up on the range last week and I let my playing partner hit the seven, easily 180 plus for him. 25 yr old with a s s of a gazillion. He looked at me and said "wanna sell em?"

I own these irons, I think they are the best blades that I've ever hit! I LOVE the look!
a frequent playing partner uses these sticks... maybe i should get him some diet coke?
Well if it's too slim him down like the trend on tour I would say yes.
Lol I am the playing partner, I soak them in coke to take the rust off.
