Martin,

I am ordering the Smart Ball TODAY. (Credit Card in Hand).....Sorry for the delay, and for threatening to order sooner and then not doing so. No excuses other than I am a habitual procrastinator. I joined your website club also and am a youtube subscriber. I would like to ask if there are any coupon codes, or discounts you might offer to forum members. You can PM me if you like.

Thanks,

Dino

For any dissenters. Yes, you could certainly make your own, but this thing is very versatile, and convenience has its value in life. So, just "pull the trigger" and get er done.

Thanks for the note! I was pumped when I saw this and had a nice exchange with DC. His swing is pure.

btw: I've never met the fellow, but I've always been a fan.

Martin, have you talked to him about what his goal is with using the ball? Connection, shallowing, etc.

I ordered one of these a couple weeks ago and got out on the range with t yesterday.

A little background. I have always fought disconnection in my backswing, it gets a little better when I take out speed but with a full speed course swing the club gets in and the arms go up. I have tried various aids to help with this but the range session I had with this was eye opening.

I can't really make full swings with longer clubs with it but for wedges and short irons and shorter rehearsals it is amazing for me. I haven't hit the ball that purely in a while. I will definitely keep working with it, very easy and I love that I can use it with an actual swing.

I received mine several days ago and have been trying various drills as my imagination can produce. One is to film my swing with video camera and play it back in slow motion 1/4 speed. Then try and swing that slow in real time and see if it matches the slow motion video. I saw an old clip with Ben Hogan doing that on a beach. It looked as if the video was playing back in slow motion, but it was all Hogan, swinging in perfect tempo, camera filming at normal speed. It was weird, seeing the swing in slow motion, then he walking away at normal speed. The smart ball has all sorts of uses. I even place a soccer ball between my knees, smart ball in my forearms, the idea being maintaining sync, and at the same time weight shift between the insoles. Geesh, here I am in my version of "Tin Cup". I can pretty much take whole swings with irons, driver is a little more difficult. One thing I find I have trouble with is finding the right length of the smart ball, for me it seems better nearer the wrists but in every video I see, most have it just below the elbow pockets.

No, not any specific goals. He's the one who brought up connection and plane. It was via PMs in Twitter, so no words were spoken, simply a few sentences. He was super kind and felt he was ready to do some good things. He's waiting for some putts to fall.

I wouldn't sweat the inability to use the ball during full swings w longer clubs. Tons of great strikers, in fact most, have elbow separation. The key is to not get too sloppy and lose control of the sweet spot momentum and direction. It's easy to let the arm separate too much and get inconsistent. Cheers and thanks for the support.

Dino, keep having fun with it. It will help you synchronize your swing and hit better shots. As for the driver, it is a little easier if you lengthen the lanyard and wear it a little closer to the wrists. You might take a tiny bit of air out of it, too. Deflated, it makes for good connection of arms to pecs. Thanks for the support.

I saw that too. I didn't ask him about it. Frankly, I'm just pumped that such a great player is using my stuff to help him find his form. He said he has all my gizmos:) Pretty funny, when a player of that caliber is still seeking and looking for that one "feel" to get back where he was.

Thank you. I guess the trick is to actually hit balls with it. Thus far, only ball-less swings in my basement. Sadly, I couldnt complete a swing without it falling out at first but now I can. I did try to hit balls once with it at an indoor range and it wasn't going well. I can't wait for SPRING!!!

fairly easy once you get the hang of it. It takes confidence to just trust it and do not try to squeeze too hard as all that does is add tension and inhibit your swing.

Heading to hit some balls at the indoor prior to playing in a simulator golf league. . It's into nets so no real info as far as ball flight but that can be good for practice.

Amazing that I couldn't keep the smart ball between the arms at all at first.

keep at it. I've only had mine a few weeks, but now only use it a little to warm up as I don't really need it all that much. I think what happened was it taught me what staying connected feels like and I sort of naturally do it. Its still an excellent thing to have around so as not to get too complacent.

Will do. Even on good days I struggke with the chicken wing and I hope this is part of the fix. I can do it just fine w/out hitting a ball but when I try to hit a ball --- nkt good as of yet.
