Closest Ball to the TP5

These aren't the only balls I like, but they've been my favorite since I started playing. Some of the 20xi's seem similar, but both models are getting older and it seems there's less good deals to be had on them. I know this is a subjective topic, but that's the point since, most likely, if you liked the tp5 and have found love for another make/model, I'd give them a shot. There's no golfing to be done currently for me in MN, so golfing money gets spent on stock piles of balls and clubs. I don't tend to stray away from the offerings I know I like, so unless one of my playing partners is using something different and gives me a sleeve, I stick to what I know.

I've really liked the z-star xv's, B330's (not the same feeling at all to me, but didn't mind them), that one ball from titleist that fits everyone's game on the commercials but has no place in the average golfers bag, is good but I'm not on that band wagon, and as mentioned above- the 20xi's (particularly the x).

The one brand I haven't tried much from is Callaway.. Every club in my bag is Callaway so this surprises even myself, but I encounter less people playing them, so I never really have gotten the chance to give them a shot.

Why didn't you just play the Lethal or TPx? I could play either interchangeably and they're perfect for me.

I didn't find the 20XI to be anything close.

Lethal was far better than TP5
Cally, try SR2 or Chrome Soft or Chrome+

I generally look for good deals on balls and didn't start to find any on the lethals till I had enough to get me through the season, but it was one of the ones I was looking forward to hearing would be comparable.

Taylormade had a deal for a box of 50 Lethals for $100 with (I think) free shipping back in December that I took advantage of. Don't know if it's still ongoing. I've played the TP5, Lethals, and Tour Preferreds and they're interchangeable for me.

Buy them on eBay 5a mint. Save some $$$!

I would never pay retail again. I also play Chrome+ and TaylorMade Tour Pref X.

If you have an adidas outlet store nearby, you can visit them on a holiday weekend...I took advantage of a 40% off weekend and bought about 5 or 6 dozen of the TPx for $25 a box...
