So Dicks now has the Maxfli "Softfli" for sale which is a 35 compression 3 piece ball. Last year I tried the 3 piece Gamer Soft and 2 piece Supersoft and Nike PD Soft. Callaway has lowered the compression to 28 on the Supersoft, there is the Wilson Duo and Duo Spin, Titleist is supposed to announce a new softer ball, and we now have the Chrome Soft. And that is just off the top of my head - old fashioned competition keeps forcing the OEMS to keep improving and provide consumers the best value. You can buy the Gamer Soft balls for 2 dozen at $30, the Softfli is $19.99, the Supersoft for $21.99, the Nike PD Soft for $15.99, and the Wilson Duo for $19.99. And if you want urethene Dicks is selling the U series at half-price.

 

For those of you that require a true Tour Ball like the ProV1 you certainly have some choices, but for the rest of us it is like being in a candy store.

Agreed. I love tour balls from inside 160 yards but I struggle mightily keeping them straight off the tee. I can play Gamers and Duos but having tasted tour spin around greens, I of course want that without paying more than $30 (cheaper if possible). Gonna give BS e5's a try, maybe the Maxfli Softflis too!

I picked up a few cases of Duo's. Local Golfsmith is giving a 2ball sleeve of Duo Spin with each case, and a 2 ball sleeve of '15 Duo's with 2/$35 on last years Duo

Callaway Supersofts are my current go to ball but I'll throw the Bridgestone Precept in there as another great low compression option. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.

Damn yo NJ. I have 2 boxes of the U3's,Duo's and the Gamer softs. Now the Maxfli's, PD Softs and the Spins I'm going to have to try. Heard about maybe a Q Star urathane(?) in another thread. I'm gonna be broke just buying boxes of balls to try. Sleeves around here do not exist.

I guess it just sucks to be me . Thanks for the heads up. I'll check them out next weekend at Dick's.
