I thinks the two are really close, cally a few yds. longer and better in the wind, the x a little more iron spin and tougher cover. fwiw I'm not a high spin kind of guy-more of a sweeper, 104 with the driver. I will play the cally as long as I can buy them @ 25 box. I agree with suits, softer off the driver, and about 5-10 yds. longer

Both are good off the driver. No distance difference. The balls are night and day when hitting irons. The chrome soft has ZERO feel, it just hits with a thud. The titleist has the "click" feel when I hit it correctly. I'm. Not sure what people are talking about when they say the soft has feel, it doesn't. Both spin similarity around the green, the soft slightly more.

I use the soft when I want to use a yellow ball so I can see it. If I'm playing for money, I'll use a pro v or provx every time!

I compared both last year and for me they were similar and neither really were the ball for me. I liked both of them around the green but not so much off the tee. I ended up playing the regular chrome and it was a much better fit for my swing speed. Stocked up on the chrome's while I could. I did notice that Hurricane Golf has the Chrome+ for around $22 a dozen. At that price it's a real winner compared to $49 for 1X.

OP was asking about Chrome+, not Chrome Soft. Two different balls.

I have been playing the Chrome+ for about a year now. I believe it to be a little bit softer than the V1x. The V1x is a little clicky auditorily for me, especially with the driver and the putter. The Chrome+ plays great in the wind for me, however I am a low ball hitter anyway.

Very similar balls imo. Both 4 piece, both medium firmness and both have lots of short game spin. Cally maybe lower driver spin and better in wind.

When I switched from ProV1x to Hex Black Tour a few years ago, it took me a while to adjust to not compensating to the wind as much. These days, I play the + or the soft, it's hard to adjust back when trying other balls.

I've never really been brand loyal, but if I look back over the last 15 or so years I have predominantly played Cally ballls. It started with the Rule 35 Blue, then the hex blue, a hiatus til the iS, then the chrome plus and now the chome soft. When I look at the reasons for being so biased towards Callaway, performance in wind is probably the biggest reason. Ever since the introducion of hex dimples, Callaway balls have been far and away the best wind balls on the market. It surprises me that they haven't been more popular with the golfing population, they can save shots on windy days.

I am going through a current fling and 100% all about some Titleist....... However without a doubt the Chrome+. It is a great ball and price wise a no brainer. Seems to have a little less spin off drivers and long irons for me. I played it the most this fall and winter. It is still very similar overall to the ProV1x.
