Callaway Golf Gets A Major Boost

It’s so strange that this U.S. Open win marks the first PGA Major for Callaway Golf. They win plenty of events and have won Majors on other Tours but I’m surprised that it took them this long to get one. Callaway has past Major champions on their current Tour staff but all of them won using other equipment…. Rich Beem (TaylorMade), Phil Mickelson (Titleist), Paul Lawrie (Wilson) to name a few. Great info. I never realized they had never won a major before. I guess it's easy to take it for granted since they've been around for so long. This should do great for their FT-3 sales coming up in a few days.

Congrats to Campbell, he played great golf and deserved the win!!!! Great for Callaway also, they have commited to creating great tour caliber products and it is paying off!!

Can't wait for my new FT-3!!!

Now the dilema, what shaft should I get??? ;)

I'm still looking around but I'm pretty sure this is the first Major for a composite driver too unless someone used an old school Yonnex way back when. I'm pretty sure Vijay was using the TaylorMade R7 during his streak last year.

Callaway have really turned it around. They were struggling in the men's game, signed Phil, he won a bunch and posted some super low scores and now they have a major winner in Michael Campbell.

Campbell seems like a very humble, nice guy so he should come across well and help Callaway sell lots of golf clubs. He played solid throughout and went toe-to-toe with Tiger down the stretch on an extremely difficult course to win. Good for him!

I just wish Annika would get the credit she deserves. What does this poor woman have to do?

geez i never throught that callaway had never won a major.

This is great for cambell and i hope he now decides to play more in the u.s because he has the skill.

The two majors this year have been great for club and ball realses because everyone remembers the great advertising the one platinum got on tigers chip at 16 and now with callaway about to realse there ft-3 driver after it was just used to win the u.s open.

Its good to see Callaway Golf back in there now. They were starting to get really shabby with the C4 and other not so good products but now with the FT-3, Fusion Fways, X-Tours, I Trax putters and also the HX Tour and 56 balls they now have a great line up! Good to see them get a Major.

Also Ive personally met Michael Campbell while I was at the New Zealand Open and he is just a great guy! Very nice, friendly and polite to talk to. Also has a great swing if you ask me.
