Aren't the greens kind of gimmicky? And I don't believe carts are allowed. Modern golf is meant to played in carts.

Haha I saw that on my Instagram feed as well. Makes you wonder if the reviewer actually played the course. It's not like giving 1 star reviews is going to keep Augusta a secret. It certaintly doesn't deter the invitation only memberships there only either.

I'd be curious to hear from anyone who has played the course when it's not in tournament condition. Although I'm sure it's not a "dump", I doubt it's as meticulously maintained year-round as it is in the run-up to and the actual Masters week.

I know two people who have played it multiple times (myself NOT being one of them).. They both said the same thing. It looks exactly the same only variable is what speed the greens are playing at.

One exception is the foliage. They have a few tricks to make sure the flowers bloom during Masters week.. Everywhere else in Augusta trees have bloomed and dropped.. Not at Augusta National.

There are few and far between courses that are once in a lifetime if someone gets to play them and Augusta is one of them gimmicky greens or not ..

also where did you get the idea modern golf is meant to be played in a cart .... that statement could not be further from the actual truth and to get the

true enjoyment of a classic like Augusta walking with a caddie is a absolute must without question

Things I like about the club house - Bobby Jones clubs on display, the cartoons posted on the wall behind the urinal in the upstairs men's room outside The Champions Locker Room, and the patio under the Live Oaks.

The course is always immaculate.

Members get to take out 3 guests to play the course on Monday after the final round. The fastest greens you'll ever experience!
