Hey Golfdad907 what do you think of the Tour iX? In another post I talked about how I recieved a sleve of them at a charity event and left my 330's at home so I hit them and I think I hit them further off the tee which supprized the heck out of me. I didn't have any 330's w/ me to test but I hope to this weekend. Since you obviously play both what is your experiance?

Thanks,

paid 36 at my local Golf Galaxy in Cool Springs for Pro v1's. They told me that it was because they had to price-match Nevada Bob's. I always understood Titliest to be like Apple Computer, in that there really is no such thing as a sale with their high-end products. Maybe they are clearing out the 2007 pro v models in a hurry for some legal reasons?

If you can get used to a stiffer less spin around the green golf ball they are great. However you are giving up a lot of feel and spin for simply a flatter ball flight off the tee. It is a long ball but I dont think it is much if not at all longer than the X. I mean with technology today distance wise really shouldnt matter to you if your a good player because they are all pretty similar. Feel and greenside playability should be paramount.

With that said, nothing (ive hit em all) feels and performs like a titleist.

Went to my local golf store and Titleist lowered the price for both ProV1's to $34. Cheaper than all the direct competitors. They said they had no idea how long it would last. Is this everywhere or just in my area?

what local store? thanks

j

Golfsmith but what the salesman told me was that Titleist sets the price for what they can sell them for. Like a lot of products I am pretty sure all Titleist products are price protected.

Well, being the ho I am, when GG had sale over winter, I stocked up on 330s and HX Tours. I ended up getting a dozen iX for like $28 during one of those Adv Club nights...I haven't purchased any more since, as letting my inventory dwindle (only 3 doz left), but I have to agree the iX did seem to be longer, sometimes a lt, than 330. It'll probably be new gamer once I'm out. I knew I shouldn't have tried them :-D

They are long off driver, I think it's lower spin, seems to flatten out and fly long time.
