ClubCorp Young Executive Membership / O.N.E. Program

Has anyone taken part of the Young Executive Membership or the new O.N.E. program that ClubCorp is offering for most of the courses in the DFW area? I have been interested in joining at Trophy Club or Timarron and was just curious what it all includes. Does the O.N.E. program allow you to play other courses for just cart fee? Can you still play the other ClubCorp courses if you are not part of the O.N.E. program.

Also, I have played both Trophy Club and Timarron and have to say that I like the Timarron course a lot better (nothing to take away from Trophy Club). Any insights on which would be a better place to be a member at?

I don't think Timarron is YEX? They lost their greens last year, supposedly better now? Trophy Club has a great range, the courses are decent but not amazing. But, having 2 courses right there at your home club is nice.

I've done the YEX at 2 ClubCorp clubs in DFW. It is the best deal in private golf in DFW. I'm doing the YEX ONE right now, probably will drop it (but keep the YEX part). I don't eat at the club enough to justify it really and the ONE courses aren't cheap (Las Colinas is something like $70 to play on the weekend). You can play at the other YEX courses for just cart fee as often as you want. I come out to Trophy Club a couple times a year, it makes for a nice change of pace.

There are also some extra traveling perks to the ONE over just YEX, but I've used that rarely.

I am a ONE member at Canyon Creek. If you joined Trophy Club on the ONE you can play all their "lower tier clubs" for cart fee only, with the exception of weekends (however, i have played other clubs on the weekend for cart fee). You will be charged a higher fee at their premier clubs (usually $50-$125).

Timmarron is a 'premier club' along with Gleneagles, Stonebriar, Stonebridge Dye, Las Colinas, you can play ANY course for cart fee only with weekend restrictions.

I like my deal. I certainly get what I pay for, but i live 3 miles from the club and i have kids so it is convenient for me to at least practice with regularity. We use the F&B discount quite often as well that comes with the ONE. It's great value. I have also been told that Clubcorp will soon be doing away with all of the promotional initiation deals they are currently running. I have a really good friend that has been at TC for about a year. I can put you in touch with him if you would like. He loves it.
