Covert Forged 2.0's for me. Actually left them for AP2's, then went back. Going to buy a set to throw in the closet for when these are worn out. When nearly every Golf publication ranks a Nike club as the iron of the year you know they're special. Real deal Nippon 950 GH and you can find them for around $400.

Were my Speedblades made in 2014? Honestly, I don't even have a clue........

But every iron made now is just about equal as far as quality goes. Golf clubs are a dime a dozen in a good way, IMO. Let's you not feel guilty about choosing most off looks and feel, which is what matters anyway.

Irons need a "Best Before" date stamped on the hosel of each club. That would make it easier to know when to upgrade...

I'm surprised these haven't been mentioned in this thread yet, but the Adams MB2s from 2011/2012 are some of the best irons ever made.

Incredible feel, three killer finishes (including raw), and sole grinds that cut through turf like buttah? Moar plz.

It's a shame that Adams has now more or less gone the way of the dodo...they had it goin' on for a few years there.

Still Using Callaway XHot Pro Irons. Great iron! It could be the Aldila RIP 115 shafts. I think I could put these shafts into any Iron and hit them great.

Starting my second year with 714 AP2 and still loving them.
Same here. I just love the 714 AP2s to the point I don't even care what the 716s will look like. These just fit me so well.
FYI...I said the same thing about my Mizuno JPX800 Pro's too and switched after the second season for no reason. This time I mean it though.

I've never bought a set of irons I didn't play for at least 3-4 seasons or else I wouldn't have bought them in the first place! I guess what I'm saying is I've never demo'd and bought a set of irons I didn't like and hit well so there was never any reason to switch after one season or a few rounds.
There is a "break in" period for most when switching equipment. For myself it's about 2 months or roughly 10-12 rounds before I really start feeling 100% comfortable and confident in them. I bought a new set of Bridgestone J40 CB's at the very end of last year and got about 5 rounds in before the winter hit. This Spring I've put in another 6 rounds on them and the last two rounds(72, 74) their starting to really click.

Perhaps people in that situation of wanting/needing to switch after a short time bit off more than they could chew in regards to player ability versus club forgiveness! Buy what you want but make sure it fits your game. I know, I know, everyone wants those shiny new blades or players clubs,,,,,,,but!!!!

Still rocking the i20's, I know only a product cycle old, but they feel better than the i25's. Won't switch unless there is a big upgrade with the i30's.
I'm in the same boat, now in third season with i20's and seeing no reason to change right now. Really looking forward to new i30 or Anser release, if they listen to WRXer's they could have a really sweet iron. Like you, I didn't see anything better at all with the i25s.

I've been playing the Cobra AMP Forged for over a year. I see no reason to change them as of now. They're still in good shape and I love the way they feel and perform. They aren't going anywhere for at least another year.
