Alright so I'm making a few changes to the bag and am adding some pictures. Recently found a steal of a deal on a set of MP32s, 3-P, and I'm going to put them in play. I gave up a set almost 10 years ago now, and have missed them dearly ever since. Played a number of different sets of Titleists in the meantime and have had no complaints, but you never forget the feel of a Mizuno. Thanks to a fellow WRX member, I was also able to get my hands on a set of Modus 125 at a good price, which seem to be a much better fit for me over the 120. Dispersion and spin were higher than I'd like with the 120, but the 125 looks to decrease both significantly for me. Have been testing in in the 6 and 9 irons all week, shafted up the rest last night and looking forward to getting the full set out on the course this weekend.

I spent last weekend "satinizing" the 32s myself, they turned out quite well for the most part. I found it hard be consistant with the finish through the set, being used clubs. Obviously every club isn't going to show the exact same amount of wear, some needed more work than others. With this being my first time it was hard to gauge how much to go at each, so I'm sure I'll be doing some touch up work in the future once I see them all outside in the bright sunlight. I added a pic of the finished 9 iron below. I'm also considering a paint fill makeover, but I can't decide on a color and haven't found a nail polish in the wife's collection I'm thrilled with.


I've also benched the 980F 4/5 wood (17* but cut down to almost hybrid length to fit the 3w/3i gap) in favor of the 712U 2 iron. Still love the 980 and won't be getting rid of it any time soon, but have a lot more use for a 2 iron at my home course.

Last update for now was a switch from the Nippon wv125 to the Modus 125wedge shaft in my lob wedge. Played with the wv125 for a few weeks but to be honest, I didn't care for it. Didn't have the smooooooth Modus feel for me. I've played with the Modus wedge shaft for about 3 weeks now, and it's a huge improvement for me. Feel is much smoother, and I'm able to keep the flight down with it on fuller shots easier than I was the wv.

Shafts are set, grips were installed last night, and I was able to get out and hit the rest of the set on the range today. I'm loving the new setup so far. I'll wait to report on performance until I've had them out on the course a number of times. Initial impressions are very good though.

Thanks, I think I'm finally happy and set with everything thru the entire bag. Driver is turned down to B4 (7.75* loft, .75* flat or "most fade" for a lefty) and the 3 wood is at B1 (+.75*to 14.25*, .75* flat for LH). I played both the 910 and 913 FDs turned down to 12.75*, but all the talk of lower launch/spin in the 915Fd proved true for me, and actually had to bump it up. Certainly not complaining though, love this head/shaft combo.

Made a number of changes to the bag recently. Have realized that the newest and shiniest toys don't magically produce lower numbers, just need to play what fits and what I feel most confident playing. Have gone back to the 910D3 w/ Speeder 757 Evo TS, 980F Strong 13* w/ Rombax P95, and the MP68s (for now). Love the 32s, but am looking to give the 68s a fair shot.

I have a half season in with the Modus 125x shafts in, and I couldn't be happier. The honeymoon phase has passed and I still am in love! Miles better for my swing than 120tx was. They give me the performance of my long time PX6.5s, with the awesome feel of the modus line.

Also think I found my forever putter with the most recent Custom Shop I posted earlier, really works well for me.

I went back to my old lightweight standbag. The 14 way stand bag was excellent for storage with all the pockets and in theory the individual dividers is nice... But eventually having to find the one of 14 slots to put a club bag after every shot annoyed me.

I never posted here but also gamed the 915D4 for a few weeks between 915D3 and 910, great driver. Beautiful from address, easier to work than the D3, but I just never fell in love.

Thanks! And funny you ask, I was planning on listing MBs soon. I sold my original set but have another I bought in new condition, I then only played them for a month. 3-P MB, but still have the original 3i CB as well. PM me if interested.

As soon as the snow started falling here in Michigan, I sent the putter I ended the season with to the Custom Shop, and just received it back yesterday. Couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. It's a Classic Newport I bought on ebay last year, already had the custom shop stamps and sight dot, but had the original black finish. I had it restored to silver (obviously, based on the pics) and added my inititials to the face.
