Course Souvenirs

Do any of you all have a habit or tradition that you do every time you play a new course?

 

For instance, I'll typically pick up a logo ball and/or ball marker from the pro shop for my display at home.

I save large divots I create and replant them in my yard.

I've got a really nice yard.

Actually I save golf pencils, I've really amassed quite a number of them. I told my Wife I was going to collect them and her reply was "Where do you plan on keeping all of them?" I told her since I could fit about 200,000 of them in just one of her hundreds of shoe boxes...

I did collect logo golf balls, I've got several hundred of those as well, after we remodeled the game room, they too are in shoe boxes.

Mostly logo golf balls but if it's a memorable track then maybe a flag or something like that. I tried hats but they took up too much real estate.

Pencils are a really good idea ... small AND cheap.

I collect pin flags from higher end courses when I play. I've been lucky enough to add quite a few this past year.

Besides shirts that i get at all courses i play at, i collect ball markers. I have them from everywhere i go that has them, even some mom and pop courses. If they sell a ball marker i buy one.

I am now looking to get a display case for them so i can show off my collection.

I collect logo balls from each course. The GF even draws one for the courses not smart enough to sell one.

I get flags from the most memorable.

I wish I'd collected pencils through the years. I was lucky enough to play in college so I'd have amassed quite a collection of unique and prestigious courses. I thought about starting now, but it just doesn't seem the same.

I only do this on vacation but if I really like the course then I will try to find a reasonably priced shirt, if the course was okay I'll just get a logo ball to add to the collection.

Yardage book and poker chip. The poker chips are easy to store and they have a really cool display on the bay that I'll probably pick up to display.

I typically get a hat or a shirt from most courses. But, for the major courses (Bandon, Pinehurst, Kiawah, Kapalua, etc.) I collect and frame pin flags for my office.

Usually a hat if it's a better course, a poker chip at just about any course (if they have them).

I've never seen pin flags for sale. Maybe I need to play better courses.

I collect pin flags from the nicer courses I've played/worked also. Although I noticed recently that I've failed to pick up ones at some pretty memorable places (Pebble, Spyglass, Congressional). Wasn't sure what I was going to ever do with them, just thought it'd be cool to have them. Now I've started decorating my office with them. Biggest problem with the flags is that they're not all the same size.
