I bought the annual deal with the coupon (thanks).

 

My top 5 were:

I was glad to see a "value" ball in the top group with the two Nike balls. Funny thing is, I have played with the TM TP Black and the two Nike's and realy liked them AND shot good scores.

 

Too bad they didn't test the InTech LIMBO!

I signed up and had a blast with it. Put everything in as average or neutral, and then used the sliders at the end to see what would show up for best distance, feel, etc. Surprising results, and some balls I would not have considered. Worth the 29$.

Josh, I noticed that too. Then I thought about it. What do I know about golf balls? What the marketing department tells me on the box or the website. That's why this intrigued me, because I realized that I really don't know anything about golf balls. There's no standard for golf balls, just like there's no standard for what a 'stiff' shaft is. I'm going to pick up some sleeves, and have some fun! Good luck in your hunt!

I am allways curious about golfballs and gave the site a try.

 

I dont know my swing/clubhead speed so the site had to estimate it based on my drive yardage. (and I think they are very close to correct). Closest monitor is 3 hours away.

 

Clubhead speed 83-93 distance 217-252 (8 hcp, hit 75% of fairways, 50% greens, poor putter)

 

The recommendation was a bit of a surprise.

The recommendations did not change much even after I played around with the distance/control/feel slider controls.

 

Based on the Golf Mag ball test article, lots of forum posts etc I thought one of the med priced balls (BurnerTP, NXT Tour, E5+, HotBite etc) would be the one for me. I have been using those balls this year and thought they were great. I did not think the ProV, TP Black's, ZURS etc would the right ball for me as I did not think I swung hard enough.

 

Cool site. But I wish there was more info describing what the site feels are the chararcteristics of each ball and why they recommend it for me. It would also be nice if they showed you the results of all the tests they have done on each ball. (maybe they do but I could not find it).

 

I played a solo round last week and used 2 balls off the tee. BurnerTP and Z-URS. Surprised me that the Z-URS was 7-10 yards longer - not what I expected at all. I was hitting the TP 240 yards vs 250 for the Z-URS. Got to try the 330s next.
