I enjoy the Jones Original Bag for use at the Range, but mt "gamer" Jones Rider Bag is tops for me!
Love the matching Stitch Racer Headcovers as well.

I have a Jones stand bag. I am 36 and get several guys in my age group say they had one in high school or college. It was my favorite bag to carry as a caddie. It is still just as nice to pack now.

I carry either a green or a black Original over here in the UK, and use it with traditional looking black and white headcovers from my golf club, plus my hickory sticks as a bag stand.

I get alot of nice comments about the "classic look" and "what is that bag ?"

No distributor in the UK sadly ... I had to import mine at heavy cost for postage and customs. Well worth it though !

Never seen another one over here mind you. A couple of Mackenzies yes, but never any Jones bags.

I like bobcat's Stitch Racer headcovers. Very smart.

I just got a green original after I saw a guy at my club with one. I had no idea they still made them. I'm getting our club logo on it. I'm 38 and grew up playing junior golf with a blue and white original with my clubs name in white leather block letters down the side. It hangs on the wall in my man cave. My high school team bag was an orange and brown one with our mascot in brown script.

If you don't mind me asking, did you buy directly from Jones' website? How much did you pay for shipping/custom/tax/etc?

Cheers!

I bought my Jones a year ago and absolutely love the bag and the nostalgia behind the bag. To me there is not a more comfortable bag strap in the industry. Super light Weight, durable and a good conversation starter. I have one Seamus headcover and I think the two go really well together.

I have a players 001 and a rider on the way. People love the look and even younger high school kids comment that it looks awesome. I really like their products and the service is great as well.

Is it me? - Everytime I use my Jones Original two or three people comment or ask me questions about my bag or where I bought it.

Anyone else using a Jones and their bag becoming a conversation starter?

Are they becoming popular in certain areas of the country yet?
Yes. Well, kinda.

Usually, they just stare and/or make a comment to their friend about it. 50% or so of the time they'll say something to me directly. Mostly confusion, as to "why" but hardly ever negative reactions. Most get positive about it after a bit, some are still confused but whatevs.

Walked 9 with mine for the first time yesterday. It's been 20 years since I carried a Jones. Loved it. Getting my club logo embroidered on it.

I bought my green one on USA eBay in mint condition. Shipping was $57 ... I just checked and I actually got away with no customs fee (bag itself was $44)

The Original has no spine so the box is quite small (basically the bag folds in half :) )

The Black one was an early prototype that I had delivered to a relative in Arizona, and collected it when I was on vacation out there.

I have a Players Series and I really like it. Coming from carrying a Ping Hoofer for years, the light weight is great. Simple design, easy to use. I get a lot of compliments as well.

I love the look of the Jones carry bags and the Jones stand bags. I would buy one in a second if I thought 14 clubs could fit without getting tangled. Do those of you who have the stand bag carry 14 clubs or do you pack less? I like the cart bag but it looks a bit to big. I have a Superstroke grip on my mallet putter and it takes up a bit of room, standard grips on everything else. What say you, you denizens of Jones?

My personal opinion is no. Especially with a superstroke putter grip and/or midsize grips. I typically use it with about 10 or 11 clubs. I emailed them once and recommended a larger 8.5" diameter. Was told it's something they are considering but had no plans at the time. I think 8.5" would be perfect for 14 clubs. There's something special about walking the course with a Jones bag that feels great, is well balanced and damn sexy! Great bags and great customer service.

Yes it's the waxed canvas. I like it, like a Filson tin coat.

The two tone bags are waxed and vinyl. The one color offerings are all canvas. FYI.

I use all 14 clubs with a flatso SS putter grip and I don't have many issues with tangled clubs. If you like the look is just pull the trigger on one, you won't be disappointed.

I agree with you, I think an 8.5" opening with four or five dividers would be more practical for the stand bag. Nonetheless they are the coolest bags I've seen on the market. Still looking for a smaller bag that can adequately hold 14 clubs.

I've got the Black Rider, the Original Navy and the All-Weather. I always get positive comments no matter which bag I go out with.
By the way, how do you like the black rider? is it that much bigger than the stand bag? It appears as if it has plenty of room for 14 clubs. My only hesitation with that bag is that it seems so much larger than the stand bag. I suppose the next question should be, "Am I really agonizing this much over a damn bag?"

I have an itty bitty PING Mono-lite pencil bag and can get 14 in it though I only use it for the range. Don't sweat the Jones. I don't have one right now, but like most other older golfers I carried one for years when I was young and have fond memories of them.

Back in the day we carried them backwards. It looked cool, but that is not why we did it. if you didn't your friends would come up behind you and dump your clubs. Fun times! They would all slide right out. So yeah, they fit 14 easily.

I would get another Jones bag in a heartbeat but I can't carry clubs anymore. Done got old.
