Best 2 piece ball for stopping on greens?

Just looking for opinions for which 2 piece ball you guys feel has the best stopping power on greens. I am not looking for spin back power; I am a high ball hitter and generally find I have few problems stopping balls on greens. I like the Nike PD Soft thus far and believe it or not, Pinnacle Exceptions. 3 piece balls with urethane covers seem to spin too much for me off the driver. I am a 7 hdcp and prefer the durability and straighter drives offered by the 2 piece ball market. Thanks for your input.

believe it or not, the trajectory isn't as high off the tee as you would think. may be just my swing but I found no difference in trajectory [a plus for me]. straight off the tee and stopping power is there.

 

maybe the change in dimple number from the first version brought down the ballooning problems some experienced.

 

I putted very well with this ball and I'm not entirely sure if the urethane cover helps the ball roll better off the face or not.

e5+ is a great ball.

 

I call it a poor man's ProV1x. Really great all round performance.

 

I'd initially steered clear of it as I was disappointed with the original e5 (ballooning and generally not great in the wind) but with the '+' version they've really got it together imo.

 

Good price too.

I've had a go with most of the newer mid-price 'performance' balls (Burner TP, HX Hot Bite, etc.) and this was the stand out ball in all depts.

Count me in as another fan of the e5+. It's easily the best 2-piece I've ever tried and stops on a dime.

Count me in too. The e5+ is the best two-piece ball on the market in my opinion. I am a high ball hitter, but this ball does not balloon. It has a good flight, and I can stop the ball on the green with my wedges. It also has a softer feel for a two-piece. It has been my everyday ball since it came out. Oh yeah, it is long off the driver too, which is always nice.

There are really quite a few good performing 2 piece balls on the market now. The E5+, PD Soft, Soft Feel, Hot Bite, and IQ 180 do the deed well at a great price point.

The Hot Bite is actually a three-piece.

If you want spin into the greens, especially short game spin on partial shots the E5+ is hands down the winner. I have a bunch of premium balls I either got on sale or were given to me, HX Tour, Taylor Red 2007, Nike Platinum 2007, but if I was paying full price for a ball I would walk straight to the E5+ no question.
