the odyssey black series i #1 or Scotty Cameron Studio STYLE NP2

Also which performs better over all

I think you will be the one that is best able to answer the question. You are talking about the most personal club in your bag. Go test them both out and find out what you like best.

I have them both, and they are both great putters. It all depends on what you like the feel of more.

I personally like the feel of an Odyssey better. Scotty Camerons definetly have better balance, but I gotta go with an Odyssey when it comes to feel.

I like the Odyssey better myself. A softer more muted feel.

The Scotty/Ping Redwood, etc have a more audible "click" sound and "seems" like the ball comes off the face hotter.

"Better" feel and performs "better" is too subjective to be properly tackled. It will all come down to preference. So your mileage may vary.

The Studio Style from Scotty is one his more soft feeling putters because of the so called "Elastomer insert", but as the other guys say - it's all highly subjective.

But the Studio Style will definitely feel more muted & soft than Scotty's Studio Select and Studio Stainless putters, which haven't got any kind of insert at all :black eye:

It depends on what you like, as said by everyone else.

I have an Odyssey WH XG #7. I can't stand it.

I also have a Bettinardi/Mizuno C03 - love it to death.

I like the feel of either a metal insert or no insert at all, I guess. I like the feel of the "click" on the ball. Polymer inserts feel wrong to me for some reason.

I tried Ody black series (without insert) and SC Select NP2. Prefered the purer feel of the NP2 and bought one. The Ody didn't feel right with all the screw on bits and pieces. Select NP2 easily had the upper hand on quality and finish. I was previously using Ping G5i Anser and Tess and decided to go without insert for a change to improve on distance control.
