My Brand New SM5 raw wedges (pics included)

I received these beauties in the mail yesterday figured some of you WRX'ers would like to see some close up pictures and their specs.

• 58.08 M grind, raw finish with freestyle stamping, Dynamic Gold S400 shaft, Z-Cord Grip
  
• 54.10 M grind, raw finish with freestyle stamping, Dynamic Gold S400 shaft, Z-Cord Grip
  
• 50.08 F grind, chrome finish (Titleist doesn't offer lower lofts than 54 degrees to us "normal" people), KBS Tour X, Z-Cord Grip
  

If you are not familiar with the raw finish, it is commonly used on tour and will rust over time which will (debatably) generate more spin. They can be found on the Vokey Wedgeworks site for $180 with tons of custom options.

Love the oil cans and don't like the chrome Vokeys. Read that raw feels better than the heat treated black ox. If u have experience with the black ox and oil cans, do the raw feels any different?

I've had raw Vokeys for the past 2 years done by the man himself. To answer your question, no, there is not a difference in feel. As for the OP, awesome looking wedges. They do look AMAZING when they rust up. If you want to hurry the process, go play Bandon Dunes in the rain (mine rusted before I hit hole #3). However, there is no debate, rust does not help with spin. Congrats on some beautiful additions!

This is my first set of vokey's so I have not had experience with the black oxide finish. I can't imagine there being a significant difference in feel between black ox, raw or any other finish. Separately, I wonder how they will feel and wear vs. fully forged wedges. A bit harder and more durable maybe?

raw wedges absolutely don't spin more. it's not debatable, there's never been anyone in any test that finds that to be true.
