Course suggestions for a bday trip

My dad is turning 80 next June and I wanted to take him and a few friends on a 'shoot your age' tour. He still has game, clocking in at a 9 index. I was thinking about stringing together some east coast courses that included Pinehurst no 2. If you had four courses to put on a list that you could logistically fly to and play across about a weeks time, what are your suggestions?

If your dad hasn't played the Bandon courses, I think you would have to at least consider that. They have four 18 hole courses and each one ranks among the top 20 of Golf Digest's public courses. In addition, they have a Par 3 course (13 holes), an 18 hole putting course, and incredible practice facilities.

#2, Sawgrass, Ocean Course, Bethpage. Not necessarily in that order, and I'm not even 100% on Bethpage, but that's all definitely do-able in a week's time.

In fact, why not try to score some US Open tickets for Sunday, and work your way up the coast? Sawgrass, Ocean Course, #2, Bethpage, then head over to Oakmont for Father's Day?

Sawgrass, Ocean Course, #2, fly and drive to Whistling Straits. Harbour Town, Bay Hill are all on the East but Whistling Straits is probably a level above - keeping with the first 3 courses.

Not sure how fit your father is, but Bandon would be high on the list assuming he's able to walk 18 per day. It's not easy to get to, so traveling may take something out of him. Obviously Pebble, Spy Glass, Spanish Bay should be considered. I don't have any true east coast recs.
