Dude, that came out REALLY nice! That face milling is one of the best I've seen. Did you give up your other one like it? That is a great pair!

Thanks a lot. I can't tell you how happy I am with this one. It's one of those putters that you keep close by while watching TV, so you can just take off the cover and admire it during commercials.

As for the face milling, that photo does it justice. This looks no different than Byron's "Fly Cut" milling on any other head. When I took that face-on photo, I got lucky with the lighting. I didn't realize it until I got it into the computer and every single mill mark just popped out of the screen at me!

I did not give up the other "Eraser." I think these two are going to have to stay together. They are a pretty dynamic duo.

I talked to Byron a bit more about the process of masking off the cavity. When I asked him if it was difficult, his simple reply was a little chuckle, followed by: "[i]You[/i] go and do it." I guess that's all I needed to hear. LOL

He did confirm for me that he will be offering the option for a $50 up-charge... the same price as a milled tour dot. I thought that was pretty reasonable.

As for the naming, Byron actually refers to that part of the putter as the "pocket." Let's stick with that. I'm not sure how I feel about people talking about how they are going to treat Mikey Town's cavity.

I LOVE the new Byron, but my favorite detail is the stamping on the face edge of the sole. Something about made me grin, the very instant that I saw it.

Love the Rat with the sight circle!

I don't know what it is about a sight circle on the topline... It just looks "classic" to me. Great look from address.

Every putter I have every had in the bag has had dual flange lines & a site dot... but the super rat's flat ( and tall ) topline w the addition of the site circle has me thinking twice about adding the dual flange lines.. I agree it's classic looking and I've been making such a high percentage of putts that I'm sort of very afraid to touch it......I'm sure I will tho cause I'm such a ruthless Custom Shop whore
