Help Me Choose a New Bag

I can't believe it's come to this, but I am turning to you WRX'ers for your opinion. I am squarely stuck between these two bags. I can get the navy for $30 less since it's technically last years model, for what it's worth. Not a major factor but something to consider. The bags are otherwise identical.

 

The black and red was originally my first choice, but then I stumbled across the navy on sale and liked it as well. The black and red is a little more "snazzy" without being over the top in my opinion. The navy is more understated, neutral and perhaps classy. At the moment my head covers are a pretty good match for the black and red, but of course that's always subject to change.

 

What do y'all think?

I bought a slightly snazzy (black with a little bit of yellow) hoofer a few years ago and it ended up breaking and got a replacement from the store I bought it from. When I chose my replacement I was happy to pick an all black one and ditch the pizazz. So, I vote for the simple blue one.

I voted navy because to me navy is almost always the answer. And for the record, I have that bag in white because Storm Troopers are kewwwwwwwwwl.

Either way they're solid bags. Can't lose here. Just got my ping bag for school and am in love with it. Previously had a Sun Mountain and tbh these blow them out of the water.

I've all but decided to go with the solid blue. I have a habit of seeing things in stores that I think look really cool on the shelf, that don't look all that cool in the real world. Not to say that black and red bag wouldn't, because I'm sure it would, but sneakers are a good example of this. I once bought a pair of Nike Free running shoes that were electric blue with lime green accents that I thought were awesome looking in the store. Then I got to the gym and I felt like I looked silly in them. They really were great looking shoes, just not my style. That black and red bag is sweet looking, I just don't know if "it's me."

That said, I just got caught in one hell of a dust storm here in Scottsdale yesterday, and my blue bag is now covered in dust and dirt. Now might be a good time to swap it out for the other one while I still have the chance.

Buy a Sun Mountain. I used a Ping Hoofer Vantage for 7 years, never thought I would change. My new 3.5 blows the old Ping away. Plus the straps on the Pings are really uncomfortable.

I had the Ping Hoofer 14 way and hated it. I love everything Ping but that bag was not a good one. Just not enough room for me. I bought a Sun Mountain 4-5 bag and Ill be buying SM in the future. Perfect bag and the straps are very nice too.
