Xenon Kopper Kurve + Accessories

I was looking to try my hand at a copper putter. I contacted Lumpy about the possibility of building a Copper Kurve and he just so happened to have a 'homeless' putter waiting for me. After a few modifications and the addition of a divot tool and 'bag tag' the putter arrived on my doorstep this morning.

This Kurve has a copper shaft band, white pearl shaft, and a Jumbo Salty grip. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

The 'bag tag' is an homage to my two Little Peanuts (Ethan and Emerson), my wife (anniversary date stamped on the sole) and my Canadian heritage (etched maple leaf on the face that can be seen under the right lighting). The tag is a Xenon Element proof head, a beautiful tribute to the traditional Anser design.

A guitar shaped divot tool was added. This beauty will see some action tomorrow morning. I hope she performs better than my guitar in hand.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Xenon experience. I'm sending an ALBZ 'Manta' and Brass 'Cowboy' for a 'spa treatment' tomorrow.

Dro,

Last year I rarely set foot in the WRX putter forum and hadn't even heard of PT. A fellow member warned me not to open 'Pandora's Box'. I did not heed his warning and now here I am.

I'd love to add an RT-1 (with an insert) to the mix, something from Kari, and I've always been smitten with Lamont's Wide Body Rattle. All in due time.

Took the Kurve for a 'test drive' this morning and was pleased with the initial results. The Salty jumbo is going to take some getting used to as the texture and size of the grip are not familiar. I struggled with distance control early in the round, but found my groove on the back side. The copper is softer and has a different sound than the stainless steel that I'm used to.

Pandora box is right. I opened my a couple of years ago now I have more than 20 of them, almost half are Lump's work.

Thank you for mentioning me in the same line as the other established guys; I do this as a hobby and I certainly have much to learn. I will be posting a couple new putters soon, something with an insert I'm doing for my brother and his friend.

I look forward to the pictures. I've really enjoyed following your other builds. I began to 'tune in' with the jrich builds.

Here's the problem I have with collecting putters, there just aren't enough rounds in the year to rotate them all and I'm not the 'wall hanger' kind of guy.

I really like the size and shape of the Kurve. The cavity is the width of a ball and the head (from heel to toe) is the width of the hole. This design feature seemed to make it easy to line the putter up properly. On her maiden voyage she bagged a 30 foot eagle and 15 foot birdie putt so I can't complain. Struggle with distance control a bit, but I'm not concerned long term.
