Well had a chance to play them today. Full 18 holes and I will say right away, these will be the golf balls I use for a long time. They were the straightest, and best putting golf balls I have used yet. Distance was the same or better with my irons. Off the tee box I don't use a driver but my 3 wood was between 240 and 298 today when I hit it well.

It was really nice to see a ball fly so straight. Shot my best score, 75 today.

You can view my stats from the round if you wish on golfshot, http://golfshot.com/...619531-30619782

Again I was shocked to see it fly like that and the ball holds up so dang well. Amazing. I really am amazed a 12.99 for a dozen ball could play this well for me.

I have also added an image of the ball after the round. It was not as vibrant for sure but nothing too bad.

Congrats on a new low round bro!! :)

I can safely say, this is my new ball going forward ( in orange or white) for a long time...

Not because it's a good cheap ball that I don't mind losing , but that it's just a great ball. I'd rather use this than premium offerings that I used before.

So I went to my local Academy to buy some of these yesterday and they had plenty of boxes, all with the new diamond-looking graphics, but the balls all had the old logo on them. I looked through several boxes, but they were all the old W/S logo. I know it doesn't matter, but I'd rather get some with the new graphics on them. Anyone else found this? Are those blems from budgetgolf the old or new logos?

I did notice the sort of rough surface to the ball, though. I can see how that would generate some spin around the greens. At my office I found an old 50 that was several years old -- probably the original 50/50 that first came out -- and I'm sure it wasn't like that. I don't remember the original spinning any more than any other cheap low-compression ball, so I suspect that cover with a little friction to it is what makes the difference.

Not bad at all. Struggle a bit with finding the right distance but i had a stretch in the back 9 where i had a birdie, birdie, birdie. Also won closest to the pin in the company tournament.

So my finding is consistent with last outing.

Long off the tee and doesn't get pushed around by the wind as much as other ball. This is a huge plus for me since i tend to hit things very high.
I'm getting the hang of the putting the ball more consistently. Most of the putts under 20ft have ended up with tap ins.
Wedge distance coming together nicely as well. One of the birdie was a result of a second shot from 55yd to 5'

Also hit a beauty from 213 out on par 3 uphill. Hit a 3 iron landed on the back side of the green and ended up in the fringe (flag on the back). Made that putt for birdie

Yeah, even though there the old ones it's still a smokin deal. How can you beat $1 a Ball?? And you got them for less lol :)

Quick observation after playing this ball for a few rounds. In comparison to the Supersoft, it seems like the 50 is very long off the shorter clubs and shorter of the longer clubs. Seems I begin to lose distance from my 6 hybrid to my driver. 7 & 8 iron seems to be on par and 9 iron to my LW seems to be too long. Has anyone noticed anything similar?

Not sure compared to a zip. Haven't tried one of those in years.

That seems to be the largest complaint I have read. The ball is so soft some can't feel it off the putter. It isn't a problem for me, however. I love the way it feels when putting.

My distances were consistent with other golf balls. From PW to 3 Wood, all the same.

As for putting I like the feel of the ball. I have an old Cobra putter so not one of the newer generation putter so I can still feel the ball off the club.

How do these balls putt? My buddy picked up some Wilson Zips the other day and i was putting them and i could not feel it off the putter one bit. The feel was non existent to me and i didnt like it. How is the feel on the putter compared to the zip?
It took me a round and some practice to get used to them but i was putting them really good. As soon as i started getting confident, more putts dropped in

Bang for the buck hard to beat this ball?!

I'm more than pleasantly surprised by this ball. I had some reservation going in. Even when i got the ball shipped and looked at it for the first time, i was a little worried with the non-traditional dimple design but the ball flat out performs

Impossible to beat for performance per dollar. However, I am quite outspoken about this ball. I was given a sleeve in a tourney and laughed that I would never use a "value ball" and when I ran out and had to use it, I flat fell in love. No more ordering used premiums on line for me. I walk in the store and pick these up.

I want to correct something I said earlier... I thought the old logo balls I found were in the newer box, which seemed weird. But I guess I got the boxes mixed up. They were in the older box with the diamond shape on top, which isn't the newest one.

Still trying to find some of the newer ones locally. Are any of you finding the newer ones at Walmart? My closest one doesn't have them, but another one not too far away might.

This is the best 2 Piece ball for the price out there with the TF Gamer Soft a close second (I have not played the new Maxfli SoftFli). If you don't quite like the mushy feeling of the Supersoft or the Duo, this is your choice. They have found the right mix of softness with some nice feedback. It putts and feels like a urethane ball. But, don't get too excited as it is still a 2-piece ball in terms of greenside spin.

ive always wondered what made this ball to have such great spin for a non-urethane cover ball.
could the dimple design be the reason? could the dimples on 50 be grabbing (?) more grass when it lands on greens than other non-urethane balls?
i know it affects the ball flight but i wonder if it affects the greenside control.

I guess I'm going to be in the minority but I started a round with them on Saturday and went back to my Cally Super Soft's before the round was over. Nothing in particular that was wrong but I have a lot of confidence in the SS. I'll keep the rest of the box for water holes and such but even with the price difference I'll stay with the SS.

Disclaimer: My swing speed is slow enough the Cally's don't feel overly soft to me.

Interesting.

I found 2 of the new 50 Elite today early in the round and decided to play them the rest of the way.
I was solo so it was no problem to hit several balls and also look in the bush for seeds.

My normal ball is the FG Tour. Second choices are Nike Platinum, or Srixon XV.
This Elite is really a good ball! distance and accuracy are as good or better than any other.
The plan is to buy several dozen tomorrow while the price is down.
The rest of the stashes will get used up on resort courses.

How did they compare off the tee? For me the Supersoft is noticeably longer off the tee.
