Id say they are just as good. Other Japanese golfballs as the Nike One, Bridgestone/Precept and Dunlop.

I prefer to play American golf balls, but its not as if the Japanese ones are inferior...

Just where do you think "American balls" are made? Sure ain't the US.

Titleists are. Says so right on the package.

Infact, there was an episode of the tv show, "Made In America" that showcases various American-made products that featured Titleist's golf ball factories.

I recently bought myself a set of Mizuno Cross Eight Tour 322 and TaylorMade XR balls. I got them from Tour Spec, and I must say that they're quality sure is top-notch. They're soft balls made to work magic on the greens, in the same league as Pro V1X, ONE Platinum, and TP series. I bought them just to try them out, and I'm extremely impressed. Every other round I play, they seem to impress me more :black eye: . However, they're definitely in the same levels as premium balls in America regarding performance, and quality.

Ive heard great things about Mizuno balls, but have also heard they are pretty expensive and are somewhat hard to find.

Precept would be another good option. For those who dont know, Precept is an off-brand of Bridgestone, but are considerably less expensive.

I recently bought a 24-pack of Precept Laddie Xs and Im pretty impressed with them. Id say they perform just as good as any low-end to midrange (DT and NXT) Titleist ball, seem to be of better quality and at $20 for a 24-pack, how can you go wrong?

Ive been using the Tourstage Balls this season and Im more than happy with them. Id moved from the Prov1 to the B330-s and thought Id give the tourstage a try seeing as I had a one of their drivers.

For me the X01, X01s, X01-G4 are great balls and off similar characteristics to B330s and PRov1.

The V10 is a very strange ball some people seem to love them and some slate them. They have a very interesting dimple pattern with dimples within dimples. My findings were that they went to high and seemed to float a bit in the air which lost me distance. However I gave some to a mate who is a higher H/C and struggles with getting the ball up and he loves them and has gained a good few yards. They certainly feel unique off the club as well feel quite hard and brittle but I found I got plenty of spin on the greens. Not keen on this hard feel off the putter. They also scuff up pretty easily especially in the sand not good for an expensive ball.

The X01-R4 was a great ball a bit of a harder feel and more scuffy than the other X01 balls but great spin and distance for me and a nice click off the putter.

Im certainly gonna try the Mizuno ones if I can get some.

Interesting that the USGA and R&A conforming ball list has all of the Japanese balls listed as low spin off driver and wedge. Id didnt find this to be the case at all.?

Anyone tried the XXIO or PRGR?
