Golf Club Rental - National or Local? (Scottsdale Trip)

Hi,

I've got a trip planned for Scottsdale in September, for 10 days. It's a multi-city trip throughout the US so doesn't make practical sense to have my clubs in tow for what is 50% of the trip.

In Europe there's one well known, well used and reliable golf club rental service, but the picture in the US seems more complicated.

I don't want to chuck $60 a day at the resort pro shop, so can anyone recommend a golf club rental service that does a weekly rate and that carries quality clubs?

I don't mind paying a little extra for a better quality set of clubs. The whole idea of rental is trying "newer" stuff and the websites I've looked at carry RBZ and Diablo sets. That's just not going to cut it.......

Any and all help very much appreciated as always.

Sounds like you are skipping around and then playing all your golf in Scottsdale? Just use shipsticks, FedEx, etc and have your sticks shipped to the resort/hotel your staying at then just repack and have them picked up to ship back on your last day.

Went on a golf trip last year and one of the guys used Clubhub.com. Clubs were in great shape and shipped right to the course. At then end he just left them there to be picked up. Pretty easy.

Thanks, I'll look into these suggestions. Fedex quoted $500+ from UK to US, a little steep I thought.

Thanks for the post - I'd tracked this down via some Google searches myself, this might be the go to option if I can't track down anyone on the West coast who offer Titleist or more recent Callaway sets......Only 150 days to the trip.....

I just got back from PHX and rented two sets from Greg. He dropped and picked the clubs up where I was staying. Couldn't have been easier. G25s in both men's and ladies with Hoofer bags. Clubs were in excellent condition.

Rentals are more economical (and easier) for short trips less than 3 days or so. If I was playing all week, I'd probably have used ShipSticks.

Best part (aside from the ease, convenience and great service from Greg) was demoing the G25s since I might be in the market. Heck, I'm always in the market.
