Hey there just got back from playing a quick nine and the pro stopped me just before I left and handed me these. I play mostly Nike stuff and he continues to try and get me to play as much Bridgestone equip as he can. He's had me demo the E5,E6 and both B330's but I keep going back to Nike but today he said it will all change.

This ball (if you google it) is supposed to be a tour ball for people between 85 and 105 mph. I'm trying it this weekend and will post my thoughts. He said it comes out Sept 15th for $39.99.

Pics attached.

I'd like to pick up a sleeve and try them. Having said that...do we really need another $40/dozen ball? There's so much to choose from now it'll make your head spin. I'm sure this ball will go along the same path as the Hogan Tour Deep.... Off the deep end.

That's just it. Does Bridgestone really need another ball? How many do they have now, 5 or 6? I hope it's a really good ball as I'm sure I'll snag a sleeve at GG when they arrive but i'm thinking they'll be so similar to the 330/330S that the differences will be negligable at best.

You will probably get a little help from the ball on mishits where a really hard ball will punish you. It sounds like the E7+ and the RX will be very close in performance. I was happy with the 330-S but will try the RX since it appears to have less spin off of the driver and a softer feel which in my book are great benefits.

With the way golf ball marketing competition is, this sounds almost like the B330RX is Bridgsestones answer to Callaway's Tour I, which is the ball I play right now,

and it is a nice ball, visa vis....low driver spin and REAL soft....I am anxious to play

them side by side to see, which one is better, if either one is...

It is going to be a toss-up for me. The Tour i (which I currently game) or this ball. I LOVE Bridgestone balls. I played the e5+ since the day it came out until I found a iTour ball on the course one day.

Can't wait to see how these compare.

I'm right with you; currently gaming the i however this ball may just be the every mans tour quality rock. I've always wondered if my 108mph swingspeed holds up to the premiums. Interesting stuff; I bet the data that they have been compiling during there ball fitting sessions indicated a need for this niche product.

Got a pick of the back of the box. Just wondering what it says. Just fell in love with the B330-S and now Bridgestone changed it to a four piece.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have been playing the B330s and its great specially around the greens. But I did notice it little lost in distance. I wonder if this new ball will restored the distance and keep the softness around the green like the B330s...

I check the local Golfsmith and they don't have them. are they available yet?
