The FJ Weathersof is a synthetic glove. So if he had a reaction to that, try a leather glove. You can even go more high end and get a kangaroo leather glove. Expensive, but heard the durability is fantastic.

Totally Recommend the Kangaroo Gloves.... I have number of Hirzl gloves bought over the years... Last for ages

I've often wondered if I'm allergic to FJ StaSof gloves, as I've been dealing with a cracking & bleeding skin condition on my fingertips for the past several years. Definitely worse in the winter. Turns out it is an eczema condition, but we haven't determined the exact cause. I'd be curious if anyone has had a skin problem that looks like this:

 

 

I'm experiencing something similar to this - it drives me crazy.

 

Here's a link to a site that may be my answer - ridding my life of sodium laurel sulfate. It's the stuff that makes soaps, toothpaste and shampoos foamy/sudsy.

Update:

Removing SLS (sodium laurel sulfate) from my life has improved the problem with the peeling skin on my fingers/hands immensely.

Also, eating a banana several times/week and then wrapping each finger with the banana skin for a few minutes has had a positive effect.

If you look at those fingers in the above picture, you can imagine how frustrating the peeling and cracking can be. It is miraculous to find a cure!

I started suffering and I do mean suffering from this condition about a year and a half ago when I went to full finger gloves...I wear them on both hands. I just came from my third visit to the dermatologist(I saw the PA the first 2) and after trying the clobetisol that did nothing and several other extremely expensive ($709-$2100) ointments and creams he is sending me for patch testing...I will have them test for everything that had been mentioned above because I truly believe it something in the gloves...if anyone had any current info on this please respond as I will go for my testing soon and need help!!!

I wear Bionic gloves, and was playing with a guy who was also wearing Bionic.  I commented to him about how much I loved the gloves, and he said that he wore them because he had an allergic reaction to golf gloves, and the Bionic gloves were recommended to him and had worked.  
 

That’s pretty anecdotal, I know, but worth a try?

I had an issue with this last year after trying MG Golf gloves. Was excited at the prospect of less expensive leather gloves for the summer time but I ended up with a red rash on the back of my hand for a few months as a result. Contacted the company and they did not seem to share my concern.

What did you expect them to do?

Stop selling gloves?
